Is there a 4 wheel drive club in Chiang Rai, I havnt tried 4 wheel drive before but like the idea of getting of the beaten track into the country side, any leads?

There is a big crossing with traffic lights in the middle of town, where the Paholyothin road makes a 90 degree curve towards the night bazaar. Close to the Tsutaya dvd/vcd rental shop and the First Church is on one of the corners. On the other corner (the former gasoline station) is a bookshop.

Next to this bookshop is a little but well sorted bicycle shop called Fat Free.

A big billboard of the Chiang Rai Montessori school is on top.

Ask for Khun Bird or Khun Chompoo.
