Purchase of an i-mac for education purposes

I have seen responses before on Thai Visa Forum - Bangkok and Chiang Mai. Re: Where I could buy an i-mac 27 inch. I posted this topic on the Bangkok Forum and got one reply. From Scott.

 

I know that I can purchase an i-mac in Thailand. Shipment is made out of Hong Kong or Singapore. I am buying same for a student. The discounted price is close to what I would pay in the USA

 

I deal with Apple..not sure of the web address.

 

I hope that there is at least one member who may recall the procedure.

I'm actually eligible but can't read the Thai store page. When I switch to English it goes to the normal store as default. Guess I'll just try to order if no questions are asked. The education discount is about the same as waiting til I'm on a tourist visa again and claiming vat back.

First, I wish to thank both "rijb" and "samuijimmy"

 

I tried what both of you said..I got into the English version. Then i clicked "for education"..

 

It does not take me to the Apple Thai.. It takes me to an Apple site in the USA. There I am told that I can not order because I am not in the USA.

 

What do I do now to get into the actual Apple Thai..

 

Please advise..
