Why won't my iPhone sync with Photos?

I upload my Photos from my iPhone to my iMac for storage.

Usually when I plug into my iMac, iTunes and Photos recognizes my Phone, but photos does not see any "new" photos to import.

 

I restart my iPhone and it works. Today however Photos and iTunes (on the Mac) does not show my iPhone at all.

I have restarted both devices several times

Support forum says to de-authorize and then re-authorize the devices. I did the Mac still nothing.

Disregard. Waiting a few hours then restarting again worked this time.

It is irritating when this happens the iPhone does not even appear in Image Capture
