  1. Well, how did the engine diagnosis end up?
  2. Yes, there are compounds to take the yellow off the plastic lenses.....Big C, Lotus, & auto supply shops should stock.... Some report that a brush & toothpaste works.... I had mine done at a car wash place that charged 300฿ to remove the yellow stain....Took them about 10-15 minutes by hand.....
  3. I like it here more than in the west & can understand why some were monk initiated to ward off ill health or bad spirits, bring good luck, whatever.... But, I still don't like them....To me they cheapen/lessen their beauty by getting tatted up..... I won't get into the character flaw judgement thing.....
  4. Turning the rotors trues them & takes any warp out....Under normal braking conditions the rotors get polished & less responsive as the brake linings wear down.....Along with truing that glaze needs to be broken so the linings & rotors can break in together for maximum efficiency..... Hondas are notoriously lightly constructed.... I'm surprised there's enough meat on the rotors to withstand turning..... If turned too close to minimum specs there could be problems arising such as overheating & warpage..... I'd want to know the rotor's specs before any decisions are made ....
  5. Maybe not so different than the pork balls your buddy ended up with?
  6. No, about 6'2" 220/225
  7. I have spent time there & cannot disagree with this synopsis.... I have a friend, a Marine Corp Master Sergeant that is half flip & half US....Also versed & teaches martial arts + built to match....The Marine Corps did not allow him to go to the PI. - they assessed it as being too dangerous.....
  8. I only get oil massages now & have been using the same masseuse for 10+ years = no towel.... When I was getting Thai massages they always provided loose shorts & most shirts provided were too small....
  9. Rum & coke.... Never liked the beer taste.... Fosters & Sapporo and maybe Henry Weinharts are the 3 that I found semi enjoyable (in the US).... I never enjoyed the taste of beer enough to explore brands or craft beer...

If you take the 108 south past the HD2 Big C to the next stoplight (where you would turn left to go to Lamphun) - turn left & look to the right you will see a shop with refrigerators & washing machines on display.... The proprietor sells units that he's reconditioned.... He's done a couple of repairs for us (washer & a fan)....I believe you'll need a Thai speaker - I'm not sure as I have never tried speaking directly with him....
  11. It's more than likely the loan shark gives the money to the girls parents & they basically sign their daughters off as collateral.... Probably more loans are made & the girls become basically indentured..... Noticably missing is any report of parents contacting the police concerning the whereabouts & welfare of their daughters.....
  12. I've found this to be true on Lazada with my wife & me side by side... It makes sense that competing platforms would work in the same fashion....
  13. What area are you in?
  14. Noted, I have inspected & found these to be much better made than others I've paid more than 4x's as much for in local stores.... Thanks
  15. I bought these on Lazada & have re-orded them twice....Good sockets & are built much better than I could find locally....Soon, they will be the only ones in our house..... Finding really good power strips is a shakey treasure hunt in the stores.....
  16. There are people in the hill tribes dying every cold season from the cold....Find a source to donate clothes, blankets, etc. Many of their homes do not have heat.... To us that have been exposed climates, it may be a simple inconvenience....To others, the cold could be a life threatening event affecting the old, frail, and weak....
  17. Yeah - sh*t like that happens.... I got pinned down on an SFO - SYD fight by a lady that cranked the seat back & took a sleeping pill or 2....She didn't move the entire 17 hour flight.... I'm 6ft4in & it was either knees locked straight or indian style....The flight attendant couldn't rouse her.... In truth, however, the lady paid for that seat, including the reclining position to use at her privilege..... What's worse to me is having a pushing & kicking kid in the seat directly behind me grinding his feet into the seat back....
  18. I worked until 57....During my working years I had exactly 3 "vacations"....My work was stressful & usually the limit was 9 years before burnout or heart attack.....At one point my BP was at 206 over 139 and under pressure I started getting eyebrow ticks..... I vacationed with my daughter & a lady friend to Australia - where I met Bob....He retired in his early 50's....As we sipped a few beers together he advised me - retire as early as you can....Bob & his wife affirmed most of their co-workers were dying off before retirement age....Shortly after that I found a study that stated only 34% in the US reached retirement age.... After that, I retired as soon as I was able & it has been the best thing I've done.... I've no doubt that if I'd tried to work & claw my way through another 10 years or so, I wouldn't be alive to be writing this comment now.... Unfortunately, my youngest US daughter is one of the ones that didn't make it (26)....
  19. I keep a vehicle & RV stored & provisioned in the US that has given us countless pleasant memories.... Partially because of the uncertainties of life - If something disastrous were to happen here I'd think about taking a few things + my dog & go RV'ing the US until (I/we?) either come back here or end up there .... I have, established grown daughters here & in the US.... I'm not really "needed" in either place & tend to be fiercely independent....
  20. I made a mistake & bought a small tank for my BBQ....After it emptied I couldn't find anyone willing to refill an odd sized tank - when it would have been much easier to just exchange the standard sized tank.... I believe what you are buying is a tank & gas - that you can exchange for refilling....That seems to be how it works here versus the US where I have my RV tanks refilled each time.... Stay with the standard sized tanks.... I actually found that the size tank I insisted on turned out to be a pain in the a$s....
  21. LOL you're right....The trips have been so seem less & easy I didn't even think about that.....
