Did you opt for warm white or daylight for your pool light? Is there a preference?

Any update for November 20th? -
Pool light have been restored and we are all still alive. The 12V ELCB idea is in the bin. Not the only wacky idea in there. That is the price to pay when you are Jack of all trades, but master of none.

Worst Joke Ever 2024
ExpatOilWorker replied to warfie's topic in Jokes - Puzzles and Riddles - Make My Day!
$1,500 + $500 + $500 = $500??? Jody need to slow down her computing. -
OK, no worries then. The transformer is a brand name and in good condition. What got me a bit nervous was that the old light housing, which have probably not been serviced for years, was waterlogged and the LED bulp was done for.
-
The worry is electrocution, I am on murder island after all. What is this about not being ground referenced, does that make the 12V AC safe, even is saline or ionized chlorine water? Maybe I am over thinking the ELCB idea a bit, just want to be way on the safe side.
-
My pool light looks as below, 220V AC to 12V AC, with a 12V LED light bulb submerged in a water tight enclosure. Any electric leak on the 12V side would not be detected on the 220V side of the transformer, right? Is it possible and even a good idea to have a ELCB breaker on the 12 AC side?

That is exactly what my grandfather use to say about his toilet. Who knows, maybe he is a happier man doing his thing his way, but I prefer a more modern lifestyle. Good luck with your AIS payment.

Fiber is probably the better choice is certain locations, so good call. Our window have 10 hours of direct sun and it made the fiber brittle. The metal have a beautiful shine to it on sunny days and virtually invisible on cloudy days.
-
You are good to go with the nylon fiber netting, but check if this Fon also offer metal screens. I just fitted metal screens and it looks great.
-
Have you tried installing the MyAIS app and paying online. It is ultra easy.

Do you ever wish that you'd kept a diary/ journal?
ExpatOilWorker replied to giddyup's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I did, kind of. I wrote a couple of pages of how I was feeling and what plans I had ever couple of years, usually after a "big" event like moving to a different country, change job or gf. It is crazy stuff and like reading the words of a stranger when going back to my 20ish. Amazing how we change over time, from the inside out. I also have some voice recordings. Amazing the happiness and energy a young voice can hold. I also wrote a book about my working life, mostly just for the fun of it and to share with family members. -

Unpaid Electricity Bill - PEA/MEA disconnect
ExpatOilWorker replied to ExpatOilWorker's topic in The Electrical Forum
It is actually a bit more complex than that. The meter is in some Thai name, so MEA should get off their lazy butt and do their job. -
I agree with scuba, trouble starts when it is handed over to Thai Post. Sometimes it vanish into thin air and AliExpress will claim you can just pick it up at your local post office and pocket your money.
