Thaksin was ultimately responsible of the killing of about 2500 suspects. Please don't pretend he is no criminal.

The way I understand it those multi zone systems are perfect if not all indoor units are used at the same time. I.e. one unit in the office, another in the bedroom. Normally only one of them is on. Perfect.

So the voters could at least try. When did the majority vote for a not obvious corrupt politician the last time? And before some people answer with some names: When a new face supports a well known corrupt politician then the new politician is also corrupt - otherwise he wouldn't support a known corrupt politician.

What do you mean by no improvement? I didn't see any red-shirts on the streets for years and hear little about the criminal fugitive and his family. That is a huge improvement.

The biggest question for me is why Thai people don't vote for some honest competent people. Maybe things would get better...

I would love to see democratic elected honest and competent people to run the county. I think they should also get a very high salary. But as long as there are only the option of the criminal Thaksin and his family and the military I prefer the military. Obviously they are far from good but IMHO not half as bad a Thaksin. I didn't see any red-shirts in the streets for years, wonderful!

So it seems you have no evidence. IMHO almost all Thai politicians are corrupt. Some a little and some more. And if that happens somewhere in the background then that is bad enough but more or less unavoidable. When Thaksin was in charge he did a lot of that corruption in the open. Like: See, I can do that, and there is nothing you can do about it. Because there was nothing what realistically could have been done while he was in charge. Nobody dared to prosecute him and no judge would have dared to convict him. One of the prime example was Thaksin as PM giving a huge loan to Myanmar so that they could buy a satellite from Thaksin's private company. Thai loan to Myanmar helped Thaksin business -judge | Reuters I still think Thaksin could still be PM if he wouldn't have been so greedy. If he would have made some money in the background and let others do the same everything would have been fine or maybe I should say: Thailand as usual. But Thaksin wanted more and he thought he is invincible. He wasn't.

I was out for lunch yesterday in Sukhumvit in Bangkok. I didn't see anybody with water pistols or buckets of water. I was surprised by that. Wonderful!

How do you know they are more corrupt?

Maybe we can make a survey another day of how many guys actively gave money to their darling and how many gave her money because she demanded it. Lots of guys do thinks like: He: Darling, what can I do that you don't work in this horrible place anymore? How about if I buy you a house and support your parents? She: Sure darling, that sounds like a great idea. Win/win, both of them are happy. But maybe not happy ever after. ????

What's the point of being rich if you can't spend that money with the girls?

I was never married and I wasted a lot more than that in Thailand - in the last 25 years. Let's have fun!

I am soldering a couple of boards together for my LED lights. I still have to get used to SMD technology. For most parts it works fine but for some tiny components this is not so easy. I finished already one board completely which works. Now I work on 4 more. This is one with only the SMD parts which I did today. Here is a long video about that project. The guy has also a website with great information about all kind of LED lights.

It seems with large tiles the chance of having problems is much higher compared to smaller tiles. And with even larger tiles it gets worse. This guy seems to know what he is talking about - at least I get that impression.

The Thai electorate didn't protest. The red mob protested and burnt half the city. Is that what you call democracy? And apart from that, do you think people who vote again and again for corrupt leaders and their family member are smart?

No, I was there to watch them and cheer for them. It wasn't necessary to pay me for that. The yellow shirts helped to get rid of Thaksin. What a beautiful day.

Really? I don't know if it is sad or funny when some people spent all their time "back home" and then they think they will retire somewhere far away in a different climate and different culture with different laws and somehow they think they will be happy in that new place. Really? Most of us are creatures of habit. Sometimes a holiday with some exotic elements is fine. But changing the whole life in almost every aspect is difficult to impossible.

I saw lots of yellow shirt supporters. I would call many of them middle class. And I saw the aggressive red mob in their pickup trucks and at their barricades terrorizing the city. They were very different from each other. And I spoke with a few people who got offered money to join the red shirts in the middle of the city. For what? Democracy? Give me a break.

The 2010 protest was about what Thaksin calls "his" money. People who want democracy don't need huge bamboo and tire barricades with gasoline ready. They also don't need war weapons. And looting and arson is definitely not the way to democracy. Or did you miss those important clues?

No, even he can't purge them. But you know there are always algorithms which pictures come up first with which keywords. And there are companies out there who manage perception. Did he pay anybody to do it? I don't know. But he certainly has enough money and a big enough ego.

What motivated many of those protesters was money, free food and drinks and party time. And someone paid for all that.

I just tried to find one of those pictures with MiB on stage with the red-shirts. I know the pictures exist, I saw them before. But now I can't easily find them anymore. Strange. Is someone, maybe someone with a lot of money, is cleaning up history?

And I thought the protest happened because a greedy criminal wanted "his" money back.
