  1. Generally, inverters with multiple MPPT inputs allow them to work independently, so different voltages are quite happy. Best to download the manual for your proposed inverter to check. Also, if you intend adding storage "later" do check your inverters can run without batteries (not all do). We are also in the process of upgrading and I'm going for 3 x Deye 5kW hybrid units running in parallel for a total of 15kW coupled to 70kWh of 48V LiFePO4 storage. At about 45kBaht a pop the Deye units are not exactly cheap, but they are a well-known and respected brand with (apparently) reasonable support.
  2. I'm afraid that this is Thai banks all too often, no idea what they are looking at so it's filed as "too hard, go away!" Great that you got it sorted and thanks for the update.
  3. The owner of a large company was confused about paying an invoice, so he decided to ask his secretary for some mathematical help. He called her into his office and said, "You graduated from University and I need some help. If I were to give you $20,000, minus 14%, how much would you take off?" The secretary thought a moment, then replied, "Everything but my earrings."
  4. Please note that this "relaxation" does NOT and will not apply to AseanNow. You want "free speech" you know where to go.
  5. Yeah ^^^, I've found Google Translate/Google Lens works pretty well for one-on-one conversation, but it's not so good in meetings particularly with multiple background conversations (as is common with Thai meetings). It also needs a pretty good internet connection for speech translation.
  6. Yeah, works for me too. The actual address is https://nsw.doa.go.th/nsw/ The login/registration page https://nsw.doa.go.th/public/index_en.php has an "English" button.
  7. Yes, this is possible, we had an example a while back where L and N had become swapped at the meter! https://aseannow.com/topic/1250930-earth-rod-is-hot/ A pretty extreme example but it's definitely worth checking your supply polarity.
  8. Saint Peter is at his desk near the Pearly Gates when a dirty white Ford Transit pickup stops at the entrance. Inside are three travellers. He looks at them with distaste and asks “What do you want?” “We’ve just been killed in a road crash and we want to come in.” Peter replies “We don’t want any of your sort up here.” “Well this is the Kingdom of Heaven, you don’t refuse anyone if they’ve repented their sins.” Peter says “Wait here a minute then, I’ve got to go and ask the management.” He goes off to find the Almighty. Peter finds God sitting on his throne, and tells him what has occurred. “Go back and tell them all are welcome, let them in.” says God. “Oh, very well then” says Peter, not very enthusiastically. Five minutes later, Peter returns. “They’ve gone.” “What, the travellers?” “No, the gates…..”
  9. "Cat-fight on a flight" - got the title all we need now is a screenplay
  10. That we are remembering these says something about the impact they had on us!!! I was a member of the Tufty Club! You?? I also admit to having owned a Robertson's "Golli" badge
  11. Me too, and by all accounts they did actually work, apart from maybe the awful "SPLINK" ones with Jon Pertwee. The later ones did become rather "dark" mind.
  12. Thailand desperately needs PiFs (Public Information Films). Passé back home but here ...
  13. Start here ^^^. It's also worth noting that it's currently somewhat warm, your A/C will be working hard and therefore using more juice. If you have the MEA or PEA App you should be able to check historical usage, PEA certainly goes back over a year. Check units used not cost.
  14. These things seem to manage to avoid us here in northern BKK (Chiang Rak), I've driven through floods in Rangsit arriving home to madam watering plants coz it's bone dry. I reckon our solar is affecting the local weather
  15. No exactly the sharpest tool! There are few places in Bangkok that are better covered by CCTV than the BTS and MRT stations, then choose to attempt your attack right in front of a camera!! It's almost as if he wanted to get caught
  16. It definitely doesn't hurt to ask. It was a few years back, but I've done almost what our OP is asking (one PP was about to expire rather than damaged). Chaeng Watthana immigration transferred the stamps with only a minor query as to why. I told them I was letting one PP expire as I no longer required both for business travel. Stamp, stamp, stamp - done.
  17. Yeah ^^^ found this thread with the usual "discussions" https://aseannow.com/topic/1295745-re-entry-permit-at-suvarnabhumi-fast-track-or-not/
  18. I've not flown out of Swampy for a loong time. I've got a trip to Egypt on company dime and the client has deigned to pay for Business Class (a rarity in my industry). My airport experience is "complicated" by my needing a re-entry permit (I really don't want to mess about at our local immigration office with no A/C in the waiting area). What's the current process since BC security and passport control is separate from the cattle-class (where I usually reside)?
  19. Are the annex rooms going to be rented / Airbnb etc? If so, you may want to consider an individual CU/distribution board for each room, you could then meter each room to see just how much juice each guest is using.
  20. I'm just "mental"! Does that count??
  21. Yeah, I saw the cat first, then I read the caption. Now I can't un-see Mr.T. Fool!
