  1. Wise and Revolut, can open both online. Use your brothers address to open the accounts, don't tell them your're not living in the UK. A pal of mine opened a Revolut account in the UK last week, using his family home address (his last UK adress) which they left 30+ years back. Revolut have a very nice virtual Debit Card system, where you can make a new virtual card, for payments setting your own limits, or just for 1 purchase. Wise are best for moving money to foreign countries.
  2. Odd that, because in the past 15 years my spending has broadly remained the same. 600,000bht/year, but in that same time my pension has doubled.
  3. It was one of the regular TaT slogans.
  4. You can't imagine how many Thais routinely carry guns when out and about. I've known a few Thai judges/lawyers/police/gangsters, all carrying 24/7. Beware the man bag!
  5. Brand was probably desperate for a wee before his interview, and the silly woman was mucking about in the toilet.
  6. Happened all the time in Stringfellows.
  7. Sex in the club/pub toilets has been common in the UK since the 1990s. As has women using the mens toilets cubicles while guys are using the urinals. Guess you didn't get out much.
  8. I have no problem with immigrants as long as they are civilised, peaceful, and hopefully educated.
  9. Fill your country with uneducated, uncivilised 3rd world immigrants from war torn countries and what do you expect?
  10. Letter from wife for multi non-O, required in Saigon, not required in Savannakhet. Back to OP, Hanoi has never been good for Multi non-O Saigon have always wanted a wife letter, but post COVID now want financials showing 400+kbht. Suvannakhet was always and still is the easiest due to a 'please help us get foreign visitors' pact with the Thai government.
  11. It's because you're confusing us .......... Your recent posts are giving us all the impression you aren't happy. You're turning into Bob Smith post wise, alcohol problems, wife problems, living in Thailand problems.
  12. How many of your peers made 84? Only my grandmother and great aunt beat that age, but they were both born in the 1800s. Most of those I know from my generation have not even managed 60! Governments lie ...... statistics are commonly manipulated. But let's say 84 is true ......... and the government is telling the truth, Lets look back at those same statistics, Healthy Life expectancy (HLE) is 60, Disability Free Life expectancy DFLE) is 64. Then ask yourself, do I want to live 20-30 years as an old unhealthy/disabled person?
  13. My fob has a range of around 20m.
  14. If there's grass on the pitch, play ball (animal house).
  15. I've spent around 175,000gbp in the last 15 years (600,000bht/year). So I'd guess his money will last 25-30 years.
  16. Since when has two plain women wearing frumpy clothing and waving their hands been considered erotic dancing?
  17. I doubt he's got more than 5-10 years left. I'm totally amazed at the number of guys thinking thell make 70+. It's just a fantasy.
  18. I'd also rather you live in Australia!
  19. I believe it's the Probate Registry. https://www.rochelegal.co.uk/resources/help-guides/dwp-claims-on-estates/
  20. Standard for all UK pensioners that have admitted they live outside the UK. In the UK pension companies are notified of your death by government agencies so no proof of life required. My advice is, Keep quiet about where you live and what you are doing. They don't need to know!
  21. I was 52, being divorced, bought a cheap holiday that happened to be in Thailand. Liked it and decided to not go back. Now 67 and still here. This guy has way more than I had, only a problem if he starts buying houses for Thai women.
  22. I had already done the photos and photocopies last week. All I needed today was the bank letter and 6m statement ( which I did this morning). And the 4 forms from the tray 1,2,3 trays at immigration + map form.
