  1. Well done with living with White Noise for so long. ???? Fo you really know what White Noise sounds like? White Noise when microwave testing sounds like rats eating through a lead cable.
  2. I think I just used my normal tyre guage for the car.
  3. What locatkon are you? If in Pattaya, walk around the streets behind TukCom. Look in the little shops between TukCom and parking building.
  4. Yes need to pump up at the garage. My RO unit did the same, so pump up fixed it.
  5. peterfranks it's a horrible job but doable. As sometimewoodworker said, a picture would help. I had a few leaks with pipes inside the cavity wall inside kitchen copboards after my house build plumbers finished. Just take the cupboard doors and hinges completely off, get some good lighting, a fan (hot under the sink inside a cupboard), a tool to scrape out the grout and a big drill. You'll probably break the tiles ....be patient and saying 'f***' a lot and blaming the Mrs helps. ????
  6. If the tap supplies both hot and cold water, open up the hot water only for a while heating the joint and try undoing the tap with the wrench again. Somehow try and make the joint hot while trying to remove the tap. Sorry that's all I can think of. Maybe better saying 'OK the tap is going to break and what's the easiest way I can get it out and replace it'.
  7. Been there for years...old guy and his mrs if i remember correctly. They must be OK as everything else around them closed (except Caddie Shack) at one time or another before Covid.
  8. Well never new this. This place is 50 m from our Pattaya house and we always went to Bangkok Pattaya Hospitak for our yearly. Live and learn. ????
  9. Probably a lot cheaper than B700.
  10. Hi, I got one from a mob in Pattaya. I think they are the sponsors for this forum. Swimmkng Pools Thailand or something like that. Bit expensive I thought and not the same brand as your, but they had it and posted it to me. If you can give them your skimmer details, that would help. ????
  11. I worked for a company that painted nearly everything in Battleship Grey. So when it came time to respray my FJ Holden, it's colour was not quite Battleship Grey. ????
  12. This is the paint I bought. Paint and Primer. (I'd say shake very well).
  13. Bought some acrylic and primer in a spray can. Can says it's good paint for everything, so it must work ????
  14. Thanks. Trouble is I have to bend it round the fence with the water pipe and that pipe is not flexible enough. I looked up painting PVC kn Google and some said use water paint, use oil based paint, don't use acrylic, use acrylic, all over the place. Sometimewoodworker is usually right so I bought acrylic and primer spray can. See what happens. ????
  15. Can you buy oil based spray tins of paint, like at Global House?
  16. Anyone painted outside PVC pipe? What type of paint did you use?
  17. I have to run 3 x power cables from my submersible pump and tap pressure switch to my pump control box. One cable is the flat 3 core sub. pump cable and the other two are NYY 2 chore and 3 chore from/to the tap pressure switch. I was thinking of putting them all in flexible 1" yellow PVC and cable tying the flexible PVC to the bottom of the 1" PVC water pipe. The distance from the pressure switch to the pump box is about 6m. Think that's OK or can you see a problem with the installation?
  18. There is a water tap. To turn the pump on when the tap is turned on I needed a pressure switch. So the pump turns on when the tap turns on or when the float switch activates. 2 reasons for the tap. 1. If I didn't have one my wife would want one. 2. To monitor the quality of water at the pump source.
  19. Pump box completed and bench tested. Got a tap on a pressure switch and a float switch in my water tank. I can't set the pressure switch and float switch to both turn the pump on, so pressure switch drives a relay whose contact can operate the pump like the float switch. So I've got these two contacts in parallel. So either contact making should start the pump. I have a non-return valve after the pump and pressure guage. Not sure of how much water will want to flow to the tank when I open the tap connected to the pressure switch.
  20. I think I'm ok got the pipes connected to my 3000L tank and got a good water flow into tank at a height of 4m. The bore is around 56m but the pump is at 16m inside casing all the way. I'm presently painting the roofed area made to cover the pump and other electrical boxes. Just bought all the NYY cable for the pressure and pump electrics. Pump box made up already and tested. Few more days painting etc and should be all set to change over from our existing bore. Hate painting.
