Try connecting your new PSI SX2 receiver box to the dishes first before calling an installer. The dishes (most likely) may well be pointing at the correct satellite already try both dishes in case one has a problem maybe misaligned or the LNB kaput, LNB's are now very very cheap. Bigger C band (black mesh) dishes are also very cheap in Thailand. I remember paying hundreds of pounds for an 0.7 db low noise Swedish Microwave LNB back in the late 1990's. One thousand for a SCT (Chaparral) Monterey 40 receiver ! then hundreds more as the signals all went from analogue to digital a lot of fun watching things not supposed to be watched especially during the encryption wars, eventually for a short while almost everything was cracked/hacked you could watch thousands of subscription channels from all over Europe for free !!! Of course that wasn't sustainable and broadcasters had to move to more secure encryption but not before some of them went down the tubes notably OnDigital which was not a satellite broadcaster but used one of the hacked encryption systems coincidently it was a rival to SkyTV who's NDS Videoguard encryption system eventually went on to win the encryption war in a rather murky way. I believe even True Visions fell victim to the encryption war and one very prominent seller of "dodgy" cards was operating from Thailand. I also spent hundreds of pounds on the Practical Television and What Satellite magazines https://www.rewindmuseum.com/satellitemagazines.htm Sorry for the off topic nostalgia 😋

I was bored out of my mind in Pattaya
johng replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
If you where bored in Pattaya then you would be bored anywhere, IMHO Pattaya is the least boring part of Thailand after perhaps Bangkok.. its also said that only boring people get bored. -
A very frightening thought and maybe why Sweden have done a bit of a backtrack to keep the cash option all digital and especially Central Bank Digital is the slippery slope towards enslavement.

No doubt you will own nothing and be very happy about it in your 15 minute city and eating the bugs. Once "they" have you in the CBDC panopticon which you think is the bees knees, best thing since sliced bread, the dogs ***locks so simple so convenient...yes convenient for "them" (its the end of freedom yes the little that we still do have the end of it) "They" will know exactly where every penny you earn and spend goes, monitored, regulated, controlled hey Chivas sorry you bought too much meat this week already computer says no you can't have any more till next month due to climate change and/or Co2 emissions.. but is so convenient I can use my black mirror device to pay duhh Putin blowing up his own gas pipeline ??? Also there where 3 towers that collapsed into their own footprint on 9/11 one of which was not hit by an aircraft. "whackjobs"

The satellite dishes can most likely be reused just buy a "PSI" box from wherever and retune Better would be a larger C band sat dish loads more channels and not so effected by the rain All the terrestrial channels and more are broadcast on the Thaicom satellites at 78.5°E https://www.lyngsat.com/Thaicom-6-8.html Thankfully its still alive and kicking cable tv ass much cheaper to broadcast to a whole country or continent ( C band) with a satellite than running all that cable...ok fibre optics have the advantage in many ways but still more pricey ( I would have thought not being an expert in any field) As for terrestrial digital tv then check your nearest transmitter here https://dttservicearea.nbtc.go.th/webapp

Please disregard my previous recommended shop as I went there today and they have "gone somewhere else" according to the neighbours where they went will remain a great mystery of the universe...there is however another shop about 10+ shop units back towards the sea same side of the road that says they do seat upholstery but only in the late afternoon/evening I didn't want to wait that long so found somewhere else. The somewhere else being on South Pattaya road opposite soi 9 they only do recovering of the seat with a factory made cover no modification or repair of the foam and no stitching 300 baht done while you wait however the wait might be quite long. https://maps.app.goo.gl/rVm7bMbxYqKXKHtg9

Hello Chris (never mind the spelling/grammar police) go on give us a tune. Yes are an English progressive rock band formed in London in 1968 by lead singer Jon Anderson, bassist Chris Squire, guitarist Peter Banks, keyboardist Tony Kaye, and drummer Bill Bruford. -

You where born with a silver spoon in your mouth ? Possibly, hopefully the pilot/captain cabin crew would be fully qualified to deal with and mitigate that scenario. when they are serving meals it's impossible to get anywhere anyway talking about cattle class having never been in the "front end" In any case it is best to get up and walk around on a long haul flight as often as you can. -

Maybe you are in the first class cabin ? but for me in the normal "passenger" (cattle class ) cabin siting in the seat with or without belt for more than an hour or 2 is indeed quite torturous.. getting up and walking around is recommended on long haul flights.. -
Check what is live and not with one of those very cheap mains test screwdrivers before doing anything the colour of the wire means nothing.

I'm watching Star Trek the original series and its much better than I remember it as a kid..the Spock, Kirk, Mccoy interactions are quite funny at times (special mention Scotty,Uhura and Chekov) the technologies imagined and special effects are IMHO "ahead of their time". (well they would be)
