  1. I'm not big on "Rewatchables", there are probably fewer than 10 films that I've re-watched from start to finish. Interestingly, nearly all the films mentioned so far are American. But rewatchables are certainly a thing....many videos, podcasts (The Ringer has a Rewatchable category), and rankings. a recent poll https://www.ranker.com/crowdranked-list/what-movies-can-you-watch-over-and-over-again--v1 Of that ranking, I've rewatched six of the top 10.
  2. Voicemail used to be free with DTAC. You had to get a 4 digit PIN from a rep, then dial *1802 (or +66991821802) to set up/listen to messages. But voicemail isn't really a thing here so I think this service has lapsed. Maybe you can pay for it. Maybe keep trying to contact DTAC - large shop in major mall, Facebook - to see if you can subscribe.
  3. FYI... Your 2025 COLA/benefit details are available (email/notice on Nov 25 for me). And an "Initial" 1099 (SSA-1099SM-F) for 2024 is available (email/notice on Dec 27 for me). on mySSA.
  4. Again my guess is that if the IO sees you are TM30 valid (current address in sync) on their system, and there is a match between the TM30 and TM47, then there is no need to ask for a TM30.
  5. One arrested. That's significant?
  6. Headline... Thai Customs Performs Duties for Two Days
  7. Arick used the term "visa renewal" - which may not be a thing - and by which I assumed they meant an extension of stay.
  8. My guess/inference is that the IO can 'see' your TM30 "status"/details in their system. I did not include my TM30 PDF document in my doc set during my recent ext stay renewal. It was not asked for.
  9. Not in my experience. For the last three years, or since the new online system was introduced, I have completed my 'first' 90-day report on-line after my annual renewal of my extension of stay. My office is CW.
  10. In most news articles announcing appointments to the Council of State the words "under the Royal Command" are included along with a reference to publication of appointments in the Royal Gazzette. Per the Constitution, the King is the "head of state". The most recent were Wissanu Krea-ngam and Arkhom Termpittayapaisith. Wissanu is the defacto head legal man in Thailand.

  13. SIM needs to be activated in the U.S. So must of us have it mailed to a family/friend for activation and onward remaining to us in Thailand. Once you have a U.S. mobile number you can register for GoogleVoice.
  14. I've been using a Ugreen CD217 GaN 65 W USB-C (one output) for a year or so with my Thinkpad. Works well. I bought it on Lazada.

  19. At 1 baht/minute I'm not sure you can do better? OK, Google Voice is free, and people in the U.S. can call you. And you can receive OTP SMSes.
  20. Thanks for this report. So their run-rate is ~ 50 per hour.
  21. This one gets filed with High-Speed Rail, Education Reforms, Drugs Crackdown, Elimination of Burning Season and an end to Bangkok's Traffic Woes.
