    There is normally 5 seconds between the light turning red and the other one turning green. So even if the motorcycle left 1 second early the trucks red light had already been on for 4 seconds. But everyone knows that and tries to take advantage of it.

    The compulsory insurance in Thailand only covers medical, no property damage. But that is assuming the vehicle is properly registered. There are many that are not.
