  1. I'll bet that hit piece by Thai PBS World’s Regional Desk made the Thai government jump to attention. Not!
  2. Yeah... Three years. (That's a life time for some and end of life for others)
  3. There is a saying, "Keep your friends close and you enemies closer" or something to that effect. Myanmar may not be Thailand's enemy, they have the high potential to be one. I'd say Prayut is being very smart by maintaining a relationship with Myanmar. I suspect he and the government are constantly working to help resolve the situation there and return Myanmar to a better situation.
  4. @placeholder the nasty environment will come from all the iron ore, cobalt, lithium, Silica, Alumina, Magnesia, Calcium Sulfate and Lime that needs to be mined. Plus the ton of plastics that will be required for the wind turbines and solar farms.
  5. @ballpoint That was a pretty good explanation and analogy. Sadly so many just see the 'current' big numbers and feel they've been gouged not realizing the years of zero and lost profits. It's the same with the workers. During the down years they leave for other work or don't have any work and live on savings. So when there is work, they make a lot of money. As in any life some make a killing (Joe Biden, Vlad Putin, Xe Jinping, Scott Sheffield, Roman Abramovich, Elon Musk, Li Keqiang, Zhang Dejiang or Justin Trudeau), doesn't matter which Government or style. What matters is the free market which enables more than just the elites to 'profit'. Wow, I went on a tangent, @Andrew65 Khun ballpoint, answered you question very well.
  6. I saw a tweet from Andrew Tate this morning about Megan (and Harry). He was spot on. "I’m just going to come out and say the truth because everyone else is afraid." I'm not a regular on Tweeter, but I think if you search that statement it'll take you to his video about Me-gain. My brother screamed at me all the time. We had arguments. They're always important, because they're meant to open eyes.
  7. My guess is the border between 2 amphoes (aka districts).
  8. I don't remember the requirements to open an account, but CITIBANK has a branch in Bangkok.
  9. Then they need to pay for the vaccine. Medicine is not free, you know?
  10. Do the right thing and send them on to Malaysia (or Turkey).
  11. I recently had very important mail sent to me from the US. My mail service provider recommended DHL and they were great. I sent mail back through them. Cheaper than Thai Post EMS and a week faster. (The EMS took 2 weeks, tracked it the whole way. My ballot was in the plastic 'envelop')
  12. Exactly!! Come home, serve your sentences...
  13. I used the covered parking on the left when traveling toward the border check point just near the Nicha shipping co. office. I do not remember the cost for 1 nights but it was reasonable (not 250 baht), but that was 3 months ago. ???? I arrived there at about 10:00am, cleared Thai immigration, bused across, cleared Laos immigration and took a van to the Thai consulate where I turned in my application an passport with about 15 minutes to remain before closing that morning (I was sweating it sitting there waiting for the bridge bus). Picked up my passport the next day and headed back toward Bangkok. (overnight in Yasothon).
  14. Considering the cost of a toilet in San Francisco, maybe they could work a deal and send them the toilets (of course minus the lobby). ????
  15. I hope it's cooler than a 1-3 degree drop.
  16. Yes, me too. One involves having to stand super close to the urinal to pee and never having to worry about prostrate enlargement or cancer.
  17. That applies to everybody. I hope you have a healthy day.
  18. Thaniya Dental Clinic is located in Thaniya Plaza Building which is the center of business area! 02-231-2124 or 089-813-6672 Doctor Somchai. His coworker does the root canals (I forget name) and she is the best I've ever encountered. I've 9 root canals done by her on my tiny teeth (I'm serious. My teeth are tiny) and she's always gotten it done and her anesthetic injections are so gentle. Good Luck!!!
  19. I just don't know where you get your info, but it's not correct. I cannot (well, will not) research and post rebuttals to your comment(s), but there have been people who have followed and reported on the terrible side effects of the COVID vaccine. I've taken the first 2 primary Pfizer shots and one booster. The gamble has so far had no serious effect on me, but I'm not taking any more, just as I do not take a flu shot. (The side effect I'd be most concerned with in my case now is the reduction in the strength of my immune system)
  20. About time... Congratulations to PM Anwar.
  21. Interesting info. I was contemplating a KL or SING by air border bounce in a couple of months. Maybe I will reconsider and head up to Udon Thani.
