  1. OP, you need to give more details for anyone to advise.
  2. In most cases the Non O visa information and any extension stamps etc can only to transferred at the immigration office where they are issued. I'm not sure how the OP can avoid a trip to Trang for transfer of stamps. Perhaps @BritTim has a solution..
  3. You have posted and reposted your experience opening a bank account. Several have pointed out insurance is NOT a requirement. Attached is just one of many where insurance is mentioned. This one is Pattaya specific. Suggest you read up in banking/finance forum or search threads on insurance. Yes often banks will mention insurance. It's a sales pitch. Your posts are incorrect information. https://aseannow.com/topic/1288655-opening-a-bangkok-bank-account/
  4. There are many solutions for the OP. I mentioned agent in earlier post. If the OP want to continue with based on retirement he could do a border bounce without a reentry permit to "kill off" his non O. Reenter visa exempt and obtain a new non O retirement and using TM87 then obtain subsequent extension.
  5. True. He won't have an issue. Your posts are so negative. The OP asked a simple question. The answer to which is that ... He won't have an issue.
  6. Yes. There were some refuse entry at DMK (in particular) during 2019. Prior to covid. You will be fine at Bangkok airports. Prior to covid I was flying out/back Thailand every month for several years. Not a issue as I had annual extensions retirement with reentry permit. However on some rare occasions I saw immigration question folk with stays based on SETV and visa exempt with history. A tip is to make up a fictional itinerary. Outlining your plans. Sounds ridiculous but for some reason seems to be good option. Even with a tourist visa have funds with your person.
  7. Don't understand any of your posts in any thread @Albaby summed it up perfectly. "What a braindead post. No point to it, just a bitter rant."
  8. The important thing is that you mentioned in your history "time spent out of Thailand" Not a day or two. Much longer. This is important. Also you have a visa. Can happen but unlikely to be be refused entry with a tourist visa. Bangkok airports will be fine.
  9. A tip for asking Nan immigration about "conversion" from visa exempt entry to a Non O retirement is to have friends take along a TM87 form. This is the form used for the conversion process. A simple google provides a download.
  10. OP, if you can afford it wack 800k+ in a dedicated account and that avoids and slip ups best option. The above info from Pib outlines the rules .
  11. Exactly. Best option is to have a separate bank account for extension purposes. Lock up 800k in a dedicated bank account. FD account if you choose. No ATM card (not necessary) Bullet proof. Don't know why you got 2 stupid emoji.
  12. OP, take notice of posts from ubonjoe in this thread. Does not refer to age limit. https://aseannow.com/topic/850608-dependant-extension-to-retirement/
  13. The fact that this happened to you personally does not change the fact that you are wrong. Insurance is not a requirement to opened a bank account.
  14. OP, which immigration office. Some allow you apply for extension 45 days prior to expiry. If you prefer to do the extension after return (safest idea) you buy a reentry permit. Can be obtained at immigration office or airport at departure.
  15. Apparently required for you however it is not a requirement..
  16. https://aseannow.com/topic/1296821-some-imm-offices-refusing-to-do-the-change-of-visa-process-applying-for-90-day-non-imm-o-visa-from-a-visaexempt-entry/

  18. Ridiculous post. If you have "limited funds" you do not move to a foreign country. Then have an illness or accident and start a GoFundMe. Too many pauper farang in Thailand.
  19. If that's the case then they should not be in Thailand in the first place. Needs to run back to passport mummy land.
  20. Indeed. Another option for OP is to exit Thailand without a reentry permit. OP you won't be fined overstay at departure. The io at departure may point out that you do not have a reentry permit. Just answer that you are aware of that. Return visa exempt and start over with a conversion to new non O retirement or marriage. Messy but an option
  21. 1. Apply for a 60 day extension to visit wife. 2. Deposit 400k into your bank account. 3. Organize the docs required for proof of marriage etc. 4. Obtain the extension based on marriage. You can use the funds once the extension is approved.
  22. Both rogue offices. Your two examples are irrelevant. Immigration offices sometimes do rubbish As they did in your examples. There are approx 75 immigration offices in Thailand. Show me this behavior in more than 2
  23. Your post is weird from start to finish. Once application for a non O from visa exempt entry is made then under consideration period kicks in. The current permission of stay becomes irrelevant. You also state immigration kept your passport. Please show me ONE post of immigration taking someone's passport and holding for 2 weeks. Did you use an agent
