  1. Low cost flight the cost of "flight change" most often exceeds cost of new ticket. However you could buy a throw away ticket to cheapest destination or buy on the spot from "onwardticket.com" 15usd.
  2. Your personal experience is irrelevant. The fact is often particular airlines do NOT required onward flight. Also many folk have reported that it has consistently been required. It can be the carrier used or point of departure. From my (first hand) experience it seems low cost airlines more likely to request onward flight. If point of departure nearby countries such as Vietnam then pretty much 100% onward flight will be required if flying visa e exempt. I flew every month to Saigon return for several years and have discussed it with airline staff. This topic comes up every few weeks and it's boring.
  3. 2000b in total. Not 2000b per missed report. Regards your reporting. Have you previously done a report ? Which immigration office.
  4. Ha. I'm kindergarten level and ubonjoe college professor. Hopefully he back soon. The visa forum needs him.
  5. @MJCM and to all the other guys. Thanks so much. I spend too much time in Thai visa forum and get grumpy sometimes. Then when I need help in forums such as this get reminded of how helpful AseanNow can be. So UPDATE: It's all solved now. The gf registered account on tv very simple. Also set up now. The 169baht per month comes out of her "true wallet" every month so no subscription and no credit card. In the end was simple to change language by going into her account on the TV Netflix.. So now it's back to normal and I use my room wifi and hotspot to tv. Hence right now using cell typing this and Netflix on telly. Thanks again .
  6. OP, be aware that many (most) folk use WISE to transfer funds from o/s to Thailand. Here is snip from WISE... Fortunately most agent open account with Bangkok Bank. "You can send up to 2 million THB per transfer. Please note that you can send 50,000 THB or above per transfer only to the following banks from 7 January 2022 due to regulatory changes: Bangkok Bank Public Company Kasikorn Bank Siam Commercial Bank"
  7. An agent will open a bank account without certificate of residence. Do you want to open a bank account or obtain certificate of residence for example TDL.
  8. Many folk have been able to enter visa exempt or tourist visa and been able to obtain "conversion" to non O by providing TM30.
  9. Yes . A non O is single entry. A re-entry permit would be required to exit and reenter Thailand. A non O-A is a multi entry permit valid for 12 months
  10. Yes. If you have a Thai bank in your name only a good option is to enter visa exempt.
  11. Non O does not require medical also no police check etc. IMO good option is to enter Thailand visa exempt and obtain your non O in Thailand. Forget the non O-A option unless it's for a one/two year visit. Non O-A also requires insurance. Non O does not. Best option is to some extent dependant on if it's ongoing stay or just an extended visit. @Red Phoenix has instructions to enter visa exempt to non O pathway.
  12. Excuse dumb q. So I have Samsung tv (new) it has the Netflix etc on the home screen. So the code just gets entered in that.
  13. Your posts are not helpful. P.O
  14. I do pay for internet. It's included in my monthly rent. I was asking options to buy Netflix. Some folk in the thread have pointed out one simple option is cards from 7/11. Also for all knew there my have been other options such as True etc.
  15. Thanks for suggestion. Prefer not to trouble the building management. As mentioned earlier I can purchase from 7/11 a basic package. The gf purchased a "True wallet" whatever that is and it connects however it's all in Thai and doesn't have a settings function.
  16. Just snip small part of your post. Will have careful read tomorrow. So comprehensive I appreciate a lot
  17. Guys Guys. I'm overwhelmed and at same time so so appreciative of the replies. Even couple of informative PM,s Slight update... The 10 year gf is so so sensitive she just used "True Money" to buy one month or whatever. 169b due to thinking she had let me down. What the heck. Had to keep telling her it's not her fault! When it opens it's all Thai and we cannot find settings. Thanks guys will look into it tomorrow.
  18. We seem to get lot of Asian content here in Thailand but I've been happy with the content. I guess you can pay different levels of subscription and have more variety.
  19. Yes. I need to connect every time I reenter condo or every morning. Unlike bars etc where I visit and auto connect as have been there previously. Bit embarrassing how many bars my cell auto connects to.
  20. You are aware of the saying .. "Ignorance is bliss" I live a very blissful life! Some very helpful posts above. I just now did a Netflix search and article that Yes they have stopped account sharing. However they have reduced membership cost. From something like 269 to 169b . Obviously that would be basic package.
  21. Trust me I have tried. The building has a wifi set up that for example it only allows one connection. My partner has her own phone plane. Data etc. I do not. We cannot sit in room both connected to condo wifi.
  22. Thanks. Clearly I'm slightly tech challenged. As stated ...I pay my condo office wifi every month. At present the phone connects to building wifi and the tv to my hotspot. Works fine. So follow your idea I just sign up online? Being old school prefer to do that in person but clearly not an option. Ta.
  23. Thanks for post. I'm not fussed about using cell as hotspot. It's more asking about if Netflix is best option and do you just subscribe online etc
