  1. Lot of sympathy on this site as usual
  2. I would not have thought one country could alter rules (whatever they are) when they have a signed treaty with another
  3. The answer from me is yes. A month after I did my extension I got a visit, first time in 12 years. They were perfectly civil took photos of myself, the house and wife. I actually asked the question you are asking, their answer was that there was many people who listed that they stayed at a particular address and stayed at another. I read in immigration rules that this is a very serious offence and you could get deported
  4. About time, ridiculous a 64 kg person only allowed the same luggage as a 128 kg person.
  5. Never say never but for me the agency system will never change because they no that if they stopped it thousands upon thousands would have to leave Thailand and that would be lost revenue
  6. In our immigration office we have always needed both of these
  7. Maybe someone on here could explain to me my question because it has baffled me for years. Ever since living in Thailand I have done my extension of stay the "legitimate" way, over the years even though my paperwork as always been correct I, and several of my friends have had no end of hassle, applying for our extension of stay. Why do people who go through the "non legitimate" never have any hassle?
  8. I am 70 year old and have never had a girlfriend/wife who has been within 6 years of my age in my lifetime. When I was young the biggest gap was 20 years, now I am older currently the gap is 30+, she doesn't complain, nor do I!!
  9. I live in a small city in Thailand and have done for a number of years, have a circle of friends, 20-25? Can assure you that none of them are losers. I would suggest it is you who is living in the wrong place, wherever that may be
  10. Being originally from the UK, I found November a depressing month, days hardly getting light. Working 12 hour night shifts I virtually never saw daylight while I was working, starting work 18-00 until 06-00, sleeping all day. I got out soon as I could never regretted
  11. It is only now that the world is turning to <deleted> that I am starting to appreciate the fact that I was born in the 50s
  12. Could you use your Thai card for withdrawals, I had a problem in Vietnam when I went on holiday. If there aren't Thai banks how do you take your money with you or is it easy to open a bank account, bit dodgy taking it all in cash
  13. Diversing a little, I have had health insurance (do not need it for my visa) from before I was 60 with Bupa Thailand, they were were taken over by Aetna, same schedule number, policy just carried on, I have reached 70 and this week a letter saying they will no longer insure me?? Not Aetna but Allianz Ayudha.
  14. If they do it once, they will do it again, that goes for both men and women
  15. I use cayenne pepper and paprika a lot
  16. I have a QROPS and it is based with the said company you are talking about in Guernsey. I do not want to bore you with things that have been an on going issue for several years. They take on financial advisors (or did) who are not scrutinized (to my cost). It will be coming towards a final outcome in April where no doubt it will be in the news. I can't say too much because it is with lawyers
  17. Not just low IQ foreigners
  18. I have suffered vertigo before but never had a headache with it.
  19. WTF!! Nobody cares in Thailand
  20. So let me get this right, the people and the politicians in Bangkok are not corrupt?
