  1. This is reasonably common in other countries where having the same name as an undesirable can lead to extra questioning so why not Thailand?
  2. You missed a bit. His/her forum name is "action" and he/she has made 252 posts.
  3. The Thai legal system appears to say otherwise, but the OP hasn't been back since he started the thread so will probably never clarify.
  4. Implicitly linked in as much as there are procedures in place to make sure the defendant doesn't leave the country, but still has the ability to remain there lawfully.
  5. Visas can be extended for the specific reason of having a court casse pending so it doeesn't seem too far fetched to me.
  6. Trivia, but did you know the original notification for an SMS on Nokia phones was Morse code for SMS? ... -- ...
  7. Different office, different rules. I've done mine (and I know of others too) who have had on-line reports approved after being out of the country, and I also know of folk who've had them approved after obtaining a new passport where others have said this is not possible. No real way to define the rules and just have to do what your office requires seems to be the solution. Edit. The good results I mention have all been from Jomtien immigration.
  8. Is your upcoming flight from BKK or DMK? If BKK then I would say the 7:00am bus is fine but risky if it's from DMK. There's a 6:00am Bell's bus from North Pattaya that would give you more breathing room.
  9. Sounds like they did their bit but it's the airport operator who actually provides the service so it's them who has let you down IMO, not AirAsia.
  10. Apparently they moved to a new database last year so nobody was "on file" any longer until the new database got populated. This meant TM30s in the eyes of some offices.
  11. There is a method but i don't know the timescales. You need a TM11 form which the OP could have lodged on his initial refusal to enter.
  12. Nice report. Regarding the bit I quoted, the timetable is currently showing buses every hour on the hour from 7am until 9pm. There's normally a sign at the booking desk saying what time the bus they are currently selling tickets for leaves and it may have just been that the one (or two) before yours was sold out already. If you're prepared to take the risk of losing out due to delays etc you can book on line in advance for a 25 baht booking fee. maybe even book a later one and try to change it if there's an earlier option for another 30 baht fee.
  13. There used to be a method to force the Ava chat bot to pass you onto a human. 1. Type "Change email" 2. Ignore the next few responses until you see "Talk to Allstar". Click on this. 3. Enter the details requested. 4. You'll be put in a queue to chat with a human. Try this and let us know if it still works.
  14. It's from secretflying.com. Redirects to skyscanner which shows Batik air on the outbound from DMK with a >6 hour transit in KUL, and Scoot on the return to BKK with a > 12 hour transit in SIN, on the dates I saw.
  15. I've been on numerous Nakhonchaiair buses, most recently last month from Mochit to Kalasin and never experienced loud music. From what I've read, the loud music buses are normally local services.

    OTA

My guess was in post #4

    OTA

OP is talking about the location of a property he saw on the OTA being incorrect on Google maps (I think).

    OTA

If by OTA you refer to an Online Travel Agent then they aren't responsible for Google maps. Anyone can add a place to Google maps and it doesn't have to be checked to a great degree so there's lots of errors. If you name the place you may get more informed responses.
  19. Doesn't matter where they were 200 odd million years ago, it's not sea salt that's being produced nowadays.
  20. And from which sea in the landlocked Himalayas do they get this stuff?
  21. The co-owner he rents from is his landlord surely, and it sounds like that co-owner hasn't paid his mortgage (loan) and the bank is in the process of repossessing the condo?
  22. Not Thailand focussed, and written by an American I think, but this might be helpful for those needing an onward ticket in the future. https://www.visatraveler.com/blog/proof-of-onward-travel/
  23. You can go through fast track security and then pass through the door between the two areas to access the auto gates, but probably little, if anything, to be gained by this.
