  1. This link is appearing in my notification screen as one I've posted in before and has new posts but is now giving an error message saying I don't have permission to view the topic. Can someone explain? https://aseannow.com/topic/1241749-thai-immigration-online-90-day-reporting-system/
  2. I'm sure you realised my comment was tongue in cheek, but in response the bit you quoted refers to not using social media sources without a link. Rule 5 may have been better given the post content: 5. You will not use ASEAN NOW to post any material which is knowingly or can be reasonably construed as false, inaccurate, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of any law. Topics or posts deemed to be scaremongering, deliberately misleading or which deliberately distort information will be removed. In factual areas such as news forums and current affairs topics member content that is claimed or portrayed as a fact should be supported by a link to a relevant reputable source. I submit that this comes under the "In factual areas such as news forums and current affairs topics" banner (my emphasis)?
  3. I appreciate the distinction but the only difference in most cases is it goes from a lousy idea to a really lousy idea IMO.
  4. Forum rules require no such thing. Here's a link to prove it. ;) https://aseannow.com/terms/
  5. To save everyone repeating themselves, have a look at this thread which was just started a few days. Apart from the odd outlier the resounding answer is no - don't do it, with lots of valid reasons why not. https://aseannow.com/topic/1316003-buy-a-condo-to-airbnb-is-it-really-profitable/
  6. Laptop/PC access is via the ibanking internet portal. I read ianguygil's post as referring to mbanking using the app to be available on one device only.
  7. Agreed Deemoney are not a bank but a transfer partner, although Wise themselves refer to all three as "bank partners". I have never seen a pdf receipt showing SCB being used as a partner and they are not listed on Wise's website as one. If you have one I'd be interested to see it and update my knowledge. From Wise.com
  8. These are the three banks where you can send 50,000 THB or over too, but their partners for transferring are BBL, Kasikorn and Deemoney. Used to be TMB too but they're no longer in the mix.
  9. Another good reason to keep it is as evidence if you have to retro-claim frequent flyer miles/points.
  10. Long stay in Thailand or buying property. Not guaranteed as they have a disclaimer on their website but I haven't heard many (any?) reports of it going wrong recently. Always wise to have a backup for any method in case something goes wrong. ETA: Only to Kasikorn and Bangkok Bank I think.
  11. Try here: https://aseannow.com/notifications/options/ I think it comes under "Mentions & My Content".
  12. Not all purely domestic airlines. P80 Air plan to fly to China and RC Airline to Japan, China and more.
  13. According to an article from 5 years ago in the newspaper we can't quote, there are 22 IDCs in Thailand.
  14. But better to prevent them being stolen rather than tracking them down after, hence the visible markings.
  15. The OP requires something to receive 2FA codes from the USA.
  16. No. It used to be the case that Gold or equivalent status would see you issued with a fast track pass on most airlines. These were done away with years ago and if you turn up without a Business or First Class boarding pass you'll be turned away by the Immigration Officer unless you meet one of the other criteria for using these lanes (pregnant, over 70, monk etc).
  17. This "new" system would potentially free up officers to help the flow of tourists through the airport.
  18. Can also prebook direct with the bus company and save on 12goasia's commission. https://rrcticket.com/customer/Webhome
  19. Just been located acording to reports. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-67820068
  20. I believe you'll get access to the Gold and Platinum Lounges in Doha but not the Al Mourjan lounges which are the "true" Business Class Lounges.
  21. I had a partial discectomy on L4/5 I think it was about 20 years ago after the periods of excruciating pain started to get more frequent. Physio had been helping but eventually an op was recommended. Following the op the surgeon said it would never have got better on it's own as fragments of the disc "stuffing" had seperated from the rest and wouldn't recede as the rest of the material did with the physio treatment. Played rugby and skied since then so pleased I had it done, but a colleague who was in at the same time as me for his second operation (I don't know the exact details) never worked again. Go with the expert advice is my opinion, but ask more than one expert.
  22. Every hour or hour and a half until 18:00 according to their website, although I've noticed on the Ekamai route they pile on more buses if they are busy.
  23. Self counted as any reminders are sent two weeks in advance of the now obsolete reporting date.
