Are high end smartphones worth the money (to you)?
Not sure, I'm still on the 10 5G. A mate replaced his 10 5G recently but I'm not sure if he got 13 or 14 Pro 5G and he's not impressed. He's back in the UK at the moment and thinking about giving it to his mum.

Find a solution for the OP who apparently wants to copy/paste from sites that have set these type of restrictions. He/she could take screen shots but that's not as convenient.

Here's one that I was just made aware of a few days ago. Can't select text or open a context menu. Ctrl-A for select all doesn't work. Any workarounds? Web page: https://davetheravebangkok.com/rum-runner-soi-buakhao-review/

Are high end smartphones worth the money (to you)?
These are brand new, real ones and can be shipped to you anywhere in Thailand. It's just a no bells and whistles, no fancy displays, no gimmicks shop with reportedly good prices. I don't know if they are on Lazada but I couldn't find them, although that could be down to me.

12/512 same as the top spec one in my screenshot, where it's only 11,800 THB from a reputable dealer in Bangkok (Sala).

Dress Code On Flight.
I'm always hot on an airplane too and would like them cooler. You can put on an extra layer or a blanket if you're too cold, I can't take something off as it might cause the netizens of Asean Now to rise up in disgust. 🙂

Dress Code On Flight.
I've had a few, but Emirates, who I used to use a lot, changed their priority ratings several years ago. Before it was as you say, in order of FF status. After they changed, then plats were still at the top of the pecking order but after that it went by ticket group - Flex Plus, Flex, Saver, then Special - so a Gold with a Flex ticket would be outgunned by a Blue with a Flex Plus. I preferred the old way as I was consistently Gold for several years until Covid times and before the change would regularly be upgraded.

UK Defined Benefits pension, early retirement
In previous forecasts they used an estimated rate of inflation. They've now reduced that estimated rate, and as there's very little time between now and the payout date there is no way to recover that previous overestimate.

Wise vs Revolut - This is what I've found out
Exchange rate is the same but holding money in Wise in USD allows you to time the exchange to take advantage of any upswings, although you'd need to be holding a lot to make any significant difference. I believe you can automate the process to exchange at a pre-determined rate if you so desire. You can send USD to Thai banks but will also incur the cost of a Swift transfer, and that will vary depending on your banking relationship. For larger amounts (I've seen $10K and ~ $20K USD mentioned) this could get a better result than Wise.

Upthread you mentioned UFPLS as an option with the current company. That should not require you to take it all at once and incur 40% tax. You should be able to spread UFPLS withdrawals over the years keeping you in a lower tax bracket.

WISE transfers taking a minimum of 2 days now?!
Your selection of long term stay (or perhaps "tagging" if you did it prior to that) was the reason for your transfers happening as they did. Now everybody's will be like that going by what's been seen and reported recently. The jury is still out on Kasikorn but I would expect the same as you've seen in the past although there have been issues recently but without a pattern as far as I can discern.

WISE transfers taking a minimum of 2 days now?!
Nobody knows for sure but I expect permanent. Bangkok Bank transfers appear to all get made just after 2:00pm on the day after Wise is funded. Same day if you're early enough in the morning. They also appear to all be coded as International Transfers. I'm not familiar with USA banks but there also appears to be issues in getting money from your banks to Wise, but these aren't new.

Some UK advisers are allowed to advise overseas clients if they have the necessary qualifications or have relationships with overseas regulators, although these were mostly advising EU based clients pre Brexit. There's an off chance some will be able to offer you advice and the best way to track one done would be via unbiased.com If the pension company's rules don't allow you to do as you wish it should be easy enough to transfer if you can set up with the likes of HL, as mentioned above, or AJ Bell.
