  1. Although agree with you that likely more work than it is worth each branch has a 3 digit number at start of account number and often very branch centric - so for best service good to have account with their number on it.
  2. They can not be done at an ATM as quoted poster had said. As for any branch being the same for OP he clearly stated he wanted to change because of work hours and being closer so all are not the same for him.
  3. The question was why any branch was required - everything could be done on ATM - which is not the case.
  4. 1. To get new passbook. 2. To get new ATM card. 3. To get immigration required documents such as letter of account ownership or bank statements. 4. To easily obtain 20 or 100 baht notes. As said you open a new account and go through that process with whatever requirements new branch may require - that you had an account in another branch may not have any advantage in that process.
  5. As a foreigner making a charge would likely have been more effort than the charge would cover - plus they probably enjoyed working on you. But yes many times no charge will be made even when it could be. But even then many Thai will prefer to go to a trusted clinic for faster service. Although many clinics are suspect there are also many part time places that have government doctors attending that are as good as hospital visit.
  6. Only if registered as living in that local area. Most people are not (still registered at parents home). Local clinics are dirt cheap - perhaps hundred or two plus medications. If treatment needed they would be referred to local hospital and would have to pay, but for most things that change will not be expensive - but likely involve waiting times.
  7. Requirement for 800k in bank retirement extension includes account requirements before and until next extension; the 800k being in account after extension granted and again before next extension and never going below the 400k minimum so any violation of that provision would void extensions of stay. So if you want to change methods it would be logical you would have to abide by original requirements to have a valid visa extension to extend it again. Otherwise would have to exit country and start the non immigrant O visa process again.
  8. If you use more than 4 times there will be an extra charge however - and not sure all operations are available when using other bank atm.
  9. Not what I needed with my breakfast coffee. If BBL follows suit may be forced to retire my Nokia 3310 and be tied to those dang USB charge cords with my head in a phone that I can't even hold in my hand trying to get my fingers to activate on a touch screen that I can't see and that tries to ignore me (my fingers seem to be non conductive most of the time). ????
  10. Suspect because same bank transfer - Wise has accounts at these banks they can use for payments.
  11. 1. Be sure to use pop up menu for entry of data when available (do you have a pop up blocker?). 2. Use Chrome or Edge browsers as they are the standard for Windows systems these days.
  12. No twinky in my 50's lunchbox - although believe I did sneak buy a pak on occasion.
  13. There is no crypto involved - Wise is a local account money going into another local account - just like when you transfer between accounts at the same Thai bank - instantly completed.
  14. As said it is per transaction - you can do more than one. BBL/K/SCB have much higher limits (2 million baht range per transaction from notice on Wise yesterday).
  15. Had to look that up - from New England so only know half English. ????
  16. We called them tubes in the new world. And normally had removable sockets to hold them so not solder to actual tube. These transmitters had a lot of glowing tubes presenting a danger if door interlock failed.
  17. More than shown - although photo make it look much larger than it is - that is one section of a tray with a spoon of rice and two mini franks. That is it. You can do better for your 30 baht at any street stall. Below is photo of 20 baht school lunch.
  18. As well as the model - some makers have 3 or more versions with different SEER ratings for the same BTU size. As expected price goes up with SEER.
  19. TCL is a very large Chinese firm but this is the time of year when AC discounts are starting - best known for TV where they are among the 2 best know in the world. In my experience with TV they were very well constructed and last much longer than normal for LCD screens.
  20. School lunch? We packed that peanut butter and jelly sandwich at home and took to school. On a good day might also have an apple.
  21. Take that with a huge (and i mean huge) grain of salt (but seller will be happy). I have used two different 9k for 26sm bedroom for the last several decades and never hot. But this is at a normal 27c temp that most people who live here find comfortable. If a hotel serving foreigners from the frozen lake locations they would require a bit more.
  22. If you do not require multi point (normally cool water is fine for tap) would just use normal single point of use heaters for shower myself - have never found multi point working right, be it in hotels/hospitals or other places - as a guess the low water pressure here causes issues with heating control - but all I know for sure is places using had issues of no hot water or it being boiling hot - perhaps because cold water just not cold enough.
  23. Just found on Lazada price 4,300 baht so may want to check that out - yes multi point on that site also. As only 2 year (5 for boiler) guarantee looks like best to replace. Was thinking of units I had bought of lower wattage and less than 2k on sale when mentioned cheap - did not know they made as many types. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/mex-0-10-mex-multi-point-centri-6r-6000w-i4613832008-s18917064167.html? Edit: After closer check above seller seems to be "new" so might not be available - most seem to sell around 6k.
