Where to buy a New Honda Click 125i in Chiang Mai?
ChaiyaTH replied to falangUK's topic in Chiang Mai
There is a good shop in the old city where you can buy it that existed for decades. But if you don't mind to buy a Yamaha bike instead I would recommend this shop, as across the street from that one they also have a very affordable maintenance and repair center where you can get anything done + A/C waiting room with coffee etc, speak english too. https://g.page/cnxyamaha?share The Honda shop is just 100 meters from there too btw so would recommend to check both. -
Visa’s and boarder runs
ChaiyaTH replied to Wishi's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
No you should be fine to enter Australia once you got the visa, rarely heard they actually wanna check your live bank balance again upon entering. And if you wanna do any job, I am pretty sure you could secure a place upfront online on the Oz job sites. Otherwise your best chance is doing any type of work online but its gonna be peanuts at first while you are then waste your existing visa duration on the WHV australia one. If any place you have a small chance to get a free bungalow and illegal temporary job it would be on some of the islands down south. -
Should Expats Be Able to Speak Thai
ChaiyaTH replied to NickyLouie's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Should countries that largely depend on tourism as well new technology, for future economy, know basic English? Yes they do. Should expats learn basic Thai? Yes as it helps a lot but the priority for Thais to know at least basic English should be higher on the list. -
Visa’s and boarder runs
ChaiyaTH replied to Wishi's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Go back home or abroad to save up money first, without money you will just mess up more. Not sure how old you are but Australia offers Working Holiday visa up to 30 years old for just like 10-15K baht visa. -

Time travelling news that is 2 decades too late. -
Grab for motorbike is very affordable and easier as no need to explain the destination. Bolt for cars at almost any place, is half the price of the same ride for Grab, on most times of the day. Bolt pricing seems similar to what a metered taxi would be. Bolt can take a long time to get as well (depending where you are). I now usually take MRT and metered taxi in BKK or else a grab motorbike.

Man Who Robbed Illegal Casino Now Afraid Of Being Killed
ChaiyaTH replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Kind of stupid to rob a casino for that little, a gold shop would have made it worth while. -
Grammarly is a great tool for this

How True is "the smiles are fake"?
ChaiyaTH replied to Brian Nose's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
It's just herd behaviour if you ask me. If you see islands where there is many farangs, who not wear masks, you also notice that many of the Thais are no longer wearing them. Yet those, gov employees for examples, do all wear them, on the islands (as all their coworkers do so as well). I think a big part has to do with potentially risking to lose face too, always avoid confrontations etc etc. BKK everyone wears them, its crazy. No different than with fashion, with most of the girls all wearing the same type of jeans, that look awful and the white sneakers, preferable Fila's. -
What I think? Germans are known to be like that. Other than that and starting about nazi's and stuff? I think one has a pathetic life if this is what keeps one busy at the job, where you are supposed to be busy with the actual job.

Biden cancels $10,000 in federal student loan debt for most borrowers
ChaiyaTH replied to Scott's topic in World News
Let me guess, the interest on the remaining debt is expected to rise and will end up costing the student 10+K more. A cigar from my own box to gain popularity, that is non existing, for the next election round. -
Example of agreement for a simple divorce, mutual consent.
ChaiyaTH replied to Steven55's topic in Marriage and Divorce
If you wanna make a contract like this, in Thailand, let alone enforce it later on (a lot of time and costs), the 5-10K a lawyer would charge you would be well worth it. Else you might as well make a pinky promise and still have general existing laws. You would make mistakes in a free fabricated contract, you rely on, to then find out those mistakes make you lose, when you need it. -
Unprofessional Juristic management

Thai law is decent. The problem is that the police and other governing servants are not doing their job. -
How True is "the smiles are fake"?
ChaiyaTH replied to Brian Nose's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
The smile can be fake, what the reality is, is that there are various smiles with different meanings. So if your question is if many of the smiles, are not the same genuine smile as we know it in the west, that is true indeed. -
Is this a serious question? Where do you think they pay subsidies with? Thin air? Or is your smart answer that the poor barely pay taxes, yeah they might, but instead they will then suffer even for more generations as no taxes are left for good purposes. Those who do pay them, will be annoyed even more, and eventually try to avoid paying taxes, or move to other countries, as also happens in the west. Companies usually increase prices even more if there are subsidies, too, specially on the long run. It is never a good solution.

Tattoos a sign of bad girls, that must be some dinosaur logic again. Plenty of proper girls and students, in the modern world, nowadays have tattoo's too. I guess the OP is a japanese who thinks everyone with a tattoo is part of the maffia too. I think nowadays 35% of all students I see, have at least 1 tattoo, even it is often hidden so parents would not notice.

What the xxxx has happened to British comedy
ChaiyaTH replied to worgeordie's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
In Holland multiple comedians were asked why the real fun things had stopped, and why they not start to do shows and stuff like that again. Their answer is that they are afraid to be lynched of there decades of work and reputation, due to wokes. -
The best rare strains in the world only contain a lot of THC-V or CBD, was found by strain hunters from holland in Congo, which was a huge operation, the guy who found it also died later on from Malaria. To have zero THC in cookies would mean one need to make a sole CBD extract first, that rarely happens. Aside of the fact, that for pain killer function, you actually would like some THC in it. Where to find one with that specific dosage, I am not sure, neither if it is even true. I doubt it is true, as it would not work that good and long with such small amount. You would need lab tests for that, and those might reveal many more things.
