Boycott of US goods spreading worldwide poor donald
Walker88 replied to 3NUMBAS's topic in Political Soapbox
True. Even the White House. It is my understanding it is now owned by Russia. -
So whats your favorite flavor ? _ Thai or Fillipino ?

The guy sounds like a Narcissistic psychopath. I know a political leader who is similar. ChatGPT can be harsh, but superintelligence pulls no punches. -
Why is All the Hate Towards Russia and Not China?
Walker88 replied to Yagoda's topic in Political Soapbox
Are you unwell? Seems so. I guess you're in favor of Russkis bombing hospitals and schools and slaughtering kids, all because---lie his mutant offspring in the WH---the Universe gave Putin a small Johnson. By the way, few people paid attention to the Steele Dossier. There was plenty of intel long before that came to light that the campaign was knowingly cooperating with Russia. The cult likes to forget that the Republican-chaired SSCI issued their report noting Manafort and Kilimnik, Stone and Wiki and a Romanian asset of the GRU. That wasn't the MSM or Dems, it was Republicans. History will look at the MAGA cult the same way it looks at McCarthyism: temporary insanity. -
Why is All the Hate Towards Russia and Not China?
Walker88 replied to Yagoda's topic in Political Soapbox
I think you're confused by MAGAism or fascism, but I repeat myself. Let's see....main stream non-Fox media, Kash's "Enemy List", migrant caravans made solely of rapists and murderers and criminals let out of prison, Haitians eating pets. Last time it was Moslems. Now it's Canadians and Danes and Panamanians and Gazans. Last week the bloated clown suggested to the attorneys of the DoJ that CNN, MSNBC and other non-Fox media who criticize him "must be illegal, and you should look into that". Is the clown so weak he needs lese majeste laws? MAGAism requires enemies all the time. He needs to point out enemies for MAGA bootlickers to go after, lke judges who follow the rule of law, families of judges, former Admin 1.0 officials who had it publicly announced by the clown that their security has been removed....in other words, you can now try to go after John Bolton, Mike Pompeo, Gen Mattis and Kelly and Milley, etc. -
Why is All the Hate Towards Russia and Not China?
Walker88 replied to Yagoda's topic in Political Soapbox
No, it has nothing to do with "Socialism", which I think you don't understand anyway, as you forever label non-MAGAs as "socialist", when that has nothing to do with anything, except your own need to attack. At least you're not as bad as the little guy always tossing in "Marxist" and "Stalinist", which indicates a willful ignorance beyond the pale. Of course the invasion of Ukraine is the obvious negative, but MAGAs buy their messiah's nonsense that "dictator" Zelenskyy started it. Frankly, maybe it's the food. All Russian food sucks, while there are some tasty different cuisines from China (though not Cantonese, which is terribly bland). You can always tell how bad a national cuisine is when you go into an area and see no restaurant advertising its cuisine. "Chinese" restaurants (a very broad term) are in every major city and town in the world, while outside of Russia, maybe you can find some Russki places in Pattaya or Phuket or Brighton Beach, but that's about it.- 113 replies

How do you fit in a plane seat ?
Walker88 replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Fatties not only overflow in their seats, but they also are a risk in the event of the need to evacuate quickly. Depending on the size of the aircraft, they also affect center of gravity and trim. I remember a few years ago there was a crash on takeoff of a commuter Beech 1900 because of poor distribution of the fatties. Some cannot even fit into the aircraft bathrooms, which means they have to hold it for hours on trans continental flights. That alone should be incentive to put down the spoon. When I was getting my pilot's license, my flight instructor stuck a 290 lb woman in the back seat of a Cessna 172, just to see if I could handle the different flight characteristics. Practicing stalls was a carnival ride. I ended up having to land in a trailing crosswind, as that is the runway ATC gave me. I guess my flight skills improved markedly that day, so I should tip my hat to her girth. -
Perhaps POTUS is unaware those drilling actually have to pay their suppliers and subcontractors, so actual costs enter into the picture. At <$70/bbl, there are not many opportunities in the US to drill and make a profit. There's a reason Biden left more than 9000 approved drilling leases that no one chose to take up. POTUS does seem to know he can say things that sound good but really have no meaning, and only fool the willfully ignorant, which is to say his supporters.

I'd say the majority of the cult members here are to the left of the mean on the IQ Bell Curve, while those opposed to POTUS are to the right. Personally, given the data distribution and the fact I might be one of the few people here who has taken an actual IQ test under controlled conditions (rather than a self-test on line), I would spot any cult member 20 points and put a bucket of money on the line, provided we both take a test under controlled conditions. Maybe 30 points or more. Sadly, most cultists haven't been particularly successful in life, so I doubt any have much money. A $million here or there isn't going to materially affect my lifestyle, so it's hardly worth it. I challenge anyone here to post a cult member name on this site they think is even above average IQ, or to make it simple, above 100. One guy claims he's 127-143, but that's on an online test he can take 100 times until getting a score about which he chooses to boast. I can tell from the writing style that with cult members, we're looking at folks well below the mean. Of course, that is obvious. The POTUS is a clown only able to fool the forlorn and those for whom the impish Universe was particularly economical when handing out IQs.

The World’s Deadliest Infectious Disease Is About to Get Worse
Walker88 replied to placeholder's topic in Political Soapbox
Why? Oh, I don't know. Could it be that sometimes it is in one's own best interest to do things maybe others should be doing, but are not? It's kind of like the research the US is doing to alter the path of asteroids, as who wants to be a dinosaur? Now I'm sure Botswana or Bangladesh are not paying their "fair share" in terms of asteroid path alteration, and yet they would benefit if the US is successful in developing that technology, but the US would see some benefit it it can do the needful. Same with TB and other dangerous diseases, viruses and bacteria. I know this is a difficult concept for those suffering from curmudgeon-ness, but give it some thought.- 90 replies

Why don't you educate the masses here and list those nations who had been imposing 200% tariffs on US goods, and also name what those goods are. For example, was Canada previously imposing 200% tariffs on Boeing aircraft? Since you're so cocksure of your statement, it should be easy for you to post a list of tariffs existing before POTUS started his trade war.

Look on the bright side, OP. We've still got that little chubbo psycho in North Korea. A recent poll, sadly, revealed only 16% of people now have a favorable impression of the US. Under Biden it was 75%. Americans are the new lepers. MAGAs think that's a good thing, as "everyone has been taking advantage of us", by doing such things as funding 30% of the US' budget deficit. Imagine interest rates if foreigners go on a buying strike and choose not to fund POTUS tax cuts and general profligacy. Imagine if he orders the Fed to print print print to cover the shortfall. Match printing with his tariffs, and let us all recall that term Stagflation. Of course the lowest hanging fruit will be first to lose their jobs in the coming Recession/Depression, and that's MAGAs. Expats trying to live off some combo of Social Security, pensions and a formerly growing 401K will feel it, too, especially when the USD loses its reserve status and tumbles. Hey, but MAGAs swear somebody somewhere was putting 200% tariffs on some undefined US goods, so POTUS just tried to "level the playing field". LOL.

The Lefts Response to America & Trump:Tesla Terrorism and ….
Walker88 replied to riclag's topic in Political Soapbox
Though I'm not a lawyer, I have seen that threatening to hang the Vice President is not criminal, nor is beating and bear spraying Capitol police officers. In fact, not only are those acts okay, but investigating them for wrongdoing IS a crime, as is investigating a President who steal classified documents or tries to overthrow an election. Since those violent and corrupt acts are okay, then lighting a Tesla Dealership on fire is, at most, worthy of a ticket, like for double parking. In fact, beating MAGAs is likely okay, using that established precedent of VP hanging or Capitol police beating. -
I know that, but most people do not know the process of shorting. Also, the vast majority of funds that manage people's 401Ks are not allowed to short, so they have positive returns only in up markets. Futures might be a zero sum game, but the equity market is not. The $5,000,000,000,000 that evaporated in the last few weeks is gone. No longer exists as a paper gain. Friday's Consumer Sentiment number was the worst in 30 years. The inflation expectations were horrible. The recently released CPI is a lagging indicator, so that +2.8% rate does not reflect the movements related to tariffs, as those first filter through the PPI at the wholesale level. The market is trading very much like Japan in early 1990. Extended drops, then dead cat bounces. No big blowoff, just a bleed that keeps coming. Back then in Japan the pundits were all optimistic. It was a "buying opportunity", and soon would go back to new highs. New highs took 35 years. Had the US markets seen a blowoff like 19 October 1987 or the tumble when Covid first hit, I might think this drop is temporary. Because it is doing such a good impersonation of Japan 1990, I think the December highs in the S&P and NASDAQ won't be topped for 20 years. While I'm prepared to be proven wrong, everything I see says generational top. This Administration has gone out of its way to both do stupid things and alienate the people it needs to fund the deficit, a deficit that will only explode with his tax cuts. His capricious attitude toward law also takes away the one thing that makes US markets attractive to foreigners: ease of entry and exit. I saw a recent poll, which I will try to find and LINK, that only 16% of non-Americans have a favorable view of the US now. That has fallen 60 points in two months. That will manifest itself in trade, tourism and investment. The US is approaching North Korea level in terms of its favorability. Nobody likes their fat little dictator, and nobody likes our fat dumb dictator wannabe.

This is not a difference of opinion, nor a political or ideological difference. To support what he says is to stand against everything the United States was intended to stand for by the Founders. It is literally the difference between good and evil. Never in the long history of the United States has any public official, and certainly not any President, uttered such totally un-American and fascist remarks. If you cannot see that, YOU are the enemy.

The whining crybaby who now plays his act in the White House gave a speech to the Dept of Justice, an organization that is supposed to operate independently of Presidential control. POTUS told the audience that "what these media are saying about me must be illegal, so I hope you will look into it" Free Speech, the foundation of the First Amendment of the Constitution, is apparently illegal if anyone says bad things about the crybaby. He specifically cited CNN, MSNBC (which he called MSDNC), the Washington Post, The New York Times, broadcast networks CBS and ABC. What he projected previously upon the Biden Administration (weaponization of Justice), he is doing himself. This is Fascist and is a page from Hitler's playbook. Those of us who served took an oath to the Constitution, a document that includes the First Amendment, which protects Free Speech and Freedom of the Press. The First also notes the right to peaceful assembly, something we know POTUS is against, as he sent in his goons to beat and tear gas people who were protesting peacefully in Lafayette Park (during his first Administration), all because he wanted a photo op holding a Bible upside down in front of a church. So MAGAs, do you support his latest rant? Do you, too, hate Free Speech? Are you fascist scum like the obese clown? Anyone who supports that qualifies, per our oath, as "enemy".

Russia Rejects Trump's Temporary Ukraine Ceasefire Offer

Why don't you post some images of your combat ribbons, tough guy. Just what I thought: bone spurs like your love muffin. You and he would need a DNA test to see if you had a Y chromosome. -

What will be researched is the actual syndrome: why the cult grew around a failed businessman, willfully ignorant, petty and vindictive, childish, obese, mendacious, a preening Narcissist, a serial philanderer, corrupt, totally self-serving, and an insecure clown. To worship Pee Wee Herman or Kim Kardashian would make more sense than that bozo. -
Russia Rejects Trump's Temporary Ukraine Ceasefire Offer

I guess it's clear how much Putin fears the POTUS, which is not at all. That should put to rest the silly notion that Putin never would have invaded if Biden had lost. Putin sipoly invaded when he was ready and (erroneously) believed he could take Kiev in a few days. -
2 hours in the gym, 6 days a week. Free weights, machines, sled push/pull, run stairs....everything I used to do as a multi-sport player in university, football to basketball to 100/200 meter and high jump. It's not easy and takes time, but the rewards are many. Never overweight, never sick, and have the same definition I had as a university student. Nobody can stop aging---not even Bryan Johnson---but it can be slowed. Far too many people give up on fitness way too young, they get obese, develop aches and pains, and endure a miserable last decade or two. It need not be that way. Unless you're of a faith believing in reincarnation, you only get one body. Best not to abuse it or let it go fallow. Oh...and not only does your testosterone level remain high, you maintain both an interest in sex and have the ability to perform absent any pharmaceuticals. There's a tag line in a silly supplement commercial in the US with Doug Flutie that goes, "And she'll like it, too."

As The Weeknd told me, I'm saving my tears for another day. Those who will be hurt the most are MAGAs. I have no tears and no sympathy for them. Sometimes it takes a kick in the head to smarten up, though I have my doubts they are any more teachable than a paramecium. The typical MAGA is below average in everything from intellect to income. They shop at Walmart, where they will see a massive rise in prices due to the tariffs. At the grocery store they will see price rises as migrants who do lots of harvesting and meat preparation are being sent home. Granted the stock market tumble, now in just its nascent stage, won't impact them as much, because most have no money, but that will hurt the sycophantic elite who now pretend they like the POTUS. They'll be barking even louder for tax cuts when their portfolio falls by 30-50%. Those of us who knew what was coming have immunized ourselves as much as possible from the carnage already arrived and still to come, and we save our tears for the truly deserving, which are not the suffering MAGAs. Serves them right. Darwin Awards all around!

What, doesn't everybody have a rich daddy who co-signs all of your loans, gives you a huge allowance, leaves you a massive inheritance, and even buys $3.2 million in chips at one of your failing casinos when you have a loan payment on another borrowing in NYC you cannot possibly service? Not everyone is "self-made" like the POTUS?
