  1. Registered or not, is fairly irrelevant, as long as it works. The statin I use to take worked just fine, and as you pointed out, not registered. But also, not silly priced like the other statin mention, that is registered. 195 baht for a 30 day supply vs 888 for registered version (in OP) of exact same drug.
  2. Live as far south as practical, for us, that's 1.5 hrs / 100 kms south of Hua Hin. Cuts the bad months of pollution, to about 2-3 months instead of 6, and AQI usually <100. PM2.5 is still an issue. Air purifiers, stand alone and build into ACs at the house, and car also has purifier. All work excellent, keeping PM2.5 to <5, and well within healthy range. Minimal if any effect on body. Unlike when living in Udon Thani, when a rough throat & cough was common for smog season, till investing in air purifiers. A rude awakening when realizing just how poor the air was before being enlightened, using PM2.5 meter. Not much news about AQI or PM2.5 numbers at the time, 20+ years ago. Control of, hiding that news is no longer done and the facts speak for themselves.
  3. To the title ... don't know why, when they can simply create them, as they've always done in the past
  4. Sadly, the way they, special interest groups try to force their agenda, actually undermines their points that due carry some validity.
  5. Try to avoid labels myself, though hard, since so many use. In politics, IMHO, there is no left or right, as they are almost all corrupt, in it for themselves or sponsors of their voice/vote. Woke is more about special interest groups forcing their ideas on others, and want an advantage in the educational system, work force and even medical considerations for their perceived oppression.
  6. Wee bit of deflection, don't you think ... ... Don't know what that has to do with 'woke culture', being forced on people.
  7. BLM ... yes, rioting. Being woke to the imaginary repression of blacks. Throw in a little affirmative action, which they already have. That turns every one off, even the blacks they think they represent, for financial gain of course, as exposed. Woke isn't just about the alphabet folks. Have to consider all nationalities, colors of skin, and imaginary genders of the mentally ill ... IMHO of course
  8. People like freedom of expression, well, the countries that allow it. Along with not being told what silliness to do, follow, or be ruled by. You can't asked to be treated equally, when you already are, but want special considerations and advantages for yourselves. Their biggest mistake, was telling parents how to raise their kids, and what, when & how they should be programed into the left's mentally ill thinking. Add their rioting & protesting, that distanced even the folks they proclaimed to represent, losing any support from within.
  9. ... wake up Mikey, or you'll miss the bus the school ...
  10. 45 for me, and if doing over, would probably just stay in the USA. Instead of liquidating RE holdings, buy more, and income would offset higher cost of living & inflation. Live the same lifestyle, probably have more money, as doubtful I would have married again, 2X at that, or raised a kid, 20+ years, through Uni. Based somewhere in moderate weather, small house in middle of nowhere, and play nomadic tourist. Same as now, here in TH.
  11. Only ate at one C & C, and only once. I think the original, decades ago, and thought the food sucked, being very bland. This even before I started to like spicy. Nice concept, offering free vasectomies, back then, not sure if still do. As some people simply shouldn't be allowed to have children. Aussie bar, been to a couple, total waste of time, since not an Aussie. Jazz bars, a plenty, but probably too expensive for OP, and caters to locals, which he despises, so why bother.
  12. Nah, not really. Humans are too insignificant to matter to climate change. If no humans on the planet, it would be changing as it had in the past, when humans weren't in existence, or even less significant. What to blame back then, dinosaur farts Climate change, like most dramas, are nothing more than money grabs.
  13. Trump fan ... but that's still funny 😎 I guess if they sold one with obama, having a huge afro, that would be deleted, as being racist ...
  14. Looks like you could sleep in that That's 38 cm longer than our ZS
  15. I wasn't even middle age when I got here @ 45, and no thought of making it to 90. Middle age for me, at best was 35, as just hit 70, and that's a big surprise. Be even more surprised if I make to 80. Already one of the oldest members of the family, now & history wise.
  16. Actually it doesn't say anything about me. I wouldn't choose Patts for it's nightlife or P4P availability, as don't frequent either. Even avoided a couple of decent restaurants on soi samphan, once daughter got old enough to realize why the soi existed. Yes, both have traffic issues. But Patts closer to things that interest me. The Northeast doesn't interest me at all, or should say, got boring really fast. Any free time, more than a long weekend, and I left the NE area for points much further south. Which due to UT's location, that took 1 day in itself, so 2 days wasted. Most of the time, lived 15+ kms out of town, so delivery wouldn't work, and not a fan of anyway. I usually only eat at restaurants, just to get out of the house. It was quite convenient, when playing single parent, since in town anyway, to pick kid up from school, (St Mary's & Don Bosco) and just eat at one of our favorites, though traffic really wasn't that bad back then. When single, I think we ate in town, every day, and enough favorites to eat somewhere different every time. Not till about 2012, when everyone bought a first or 2nd car in the household, since 100k baht rebate was given, with most purchases. Air pollution being another huge negative about UT. I'd rather look at the surf, rather than rice, sugar or cassava fields. As stated earlier, was tolerable, IF, having to be there. But as soon as not needed to be, I was gone. Rented a place in Prachuap Khiri Khan even before she was done school, as rental options were limited, and didn't want to pass up on what was available at the time. Off topic, but as stated more than a few times, I wouldn't consider living anywhere North of Hua Hin. Usually means 4-6 months are really bad air pollution.
  17. Lived there for 17 yrs, and one of the pluses, a decent food town. Sadly, too many really good places didn't last, as cost a wee bit more, and the CCs thought it was expensive. Seem to be quite content with crap food at low prices, and washed down with even worse, cheapest beer. As good as UT was for a large metro (relative to TH), there were too many negatives for us. Did enjoy popping into town between 1000 - 1500 hrs, for a munch, but basically avoided it at all other times. Traffic was simply horrendous.
  18. Not crowded ...
  19. Are pressure gauges for diving made by Thai companies ? Since he made it back to the surface alive, and died at his hotel, I think it's safe to say, we can rule out his equipment, and the diving industry completely, with being the cause of, or contributing to his death. Y'all are nuts ...
  20. Have to agree with earlier post, why buy another one, if ready to replace this one, with low kms. If wanting to give it away ... I'll take it Cut the back off, and I'll have a pick up. Living rural, nobody will care.
  21. Wow, you made it that far. Only the misrepresented 360° got me to peek at OP. Then skipped down to the link, since no photo, and realized someone doesn't have a clue what 360° actually means. If that made his day, this would give him an orgasm ...
  22. You really don't have a clue about the diving sport. Underfilling tanks, just isn't going to happen. Think about a bar that sell weak drinks, or tap beer and doesn't give you a full glass of. How long would they stay in business. An inaccurate gauge ... don't think so, that's a lawsuit no manufacturer wants to face. A thread full of ignorant detectives with no info to go on. People know only 1 fact, someone died, that is all. Nothing new revealed in this CB thread, except how ignorant people are of the diving sport & industry.
