  1. Might have been made on day off, or before/after shift. Had bunch of bags along the 1 wall, and a bunch of pallets staged at another wall.
  2. I've always been anti War, as don't consider any since WW II that were justified for USA to be involved. I graduated in 1973, and Nam was starting to wind down. My small hometown lost 4 to that silliness.
  3. This caught my ears the other day, and I think SN is the last one she talked about:
  4. That's crazy. I'm simply not paying that much for 4 wheels. Too thrifty, and I'm simply not a car person. As much as I like driving the ZS EV, was quite happy with the ICE version, and thought that was a silly price, @ ฿700k, but better than the entry level JP badged 'made in TH' offering starting @ w600k, at the time. Take away the govt incentive alone, would be enough, and then add a low 10% tax and I wouldn't even look at BEVs. I think I would have seriously considered a Suzuki Carry, and a RV, conversion on the back bed Something practical for me, as at that point, still didn't knew I was staying in TH. 2018-2020 was the 'am I staying in TH' question period, as the not so wee one was at Uni, at Krung Thep, a place I didn't want to live. Before I lop down another ฿20k for a new car, needed to decide if staying, since no real reason to stay in TH Liquidating everything and testing PKK out as living destination. Sedans for me are out. Got tired of 'made in TH' entry level crap (3 already), and JP imports are silly price IMHO.
  5. Beautiful Today - Richard Lacy, Sarah Elizabeth Lacy, David Bird
  6. Yep ... keep it in the news, anything to not promote BEVs and make people think there's an alternative right around the corner. They and big oil/fossil fuel conglomerates ain't giving up the profits of their high maintenance ICEVs. Why BEV development has be stifled outside of CH.
  7. Sorry, can't help, same as you, only passed through. But agree, should be a bit cooler, less concrete, more green. Total district population <16k, so don't expect too much of a town. Booking.com showing a few hotels: Strangely, G maps not showing much at all, when they usually show more than B.com
  8. Appears everyone else is late to the party also, since H2 tech has been around for well over 25 yrs, and nobody seems to want to make use of it, for personal vehicles anyway. 4 countries using, but doubt if much is used for personal vehicles. source
  9. Anything is better than petrol & especially diesel
  10. Toyota .. https://electrek.co/2024/03/01/toyota-says-it-would-rather-buy-credits-than-waste-money-on-evs/
  11. Spring cleaning ... don't forget your air purifier ... ... and yea, that's embarrassing Amazingly, they still work fine, taking AQI/PM2.5 down to single digit, if now -0- Guessing will work a bit more efficiently, with less stress on motor now.
  12. People really need to stop saying that, unless they want to come off as being extremely ignorant. Maybe on a weekend or long weekend, to/from tourist destinations, there might be a Q. Of course, you could have spent the 40 baht extra, and booked a time slot. Or simply go to next CS down the road. Our last O&A was on a long holiday weekend, and no Q's anywhere for us, or anyone waiting more than 5 mins for us to finish.
  13. Absolutely nothing wrong with the LFP batteries in BEVs now. Will there be improvements in the future, density, weight, range, cost ... of course, but takes nothing away from what's available now. Those that want to wait, for new tech to be mass produced at a reasonable price, 5 yrs from now, well feel free, though you are missing out on savings & performance now. UP2U
  14. Joint collaboration, since I can't buy RE, or research the Thai sites, bank sites where she found present land house is on (@ bank site), for better value. Buying for ฿76k, with lot of same size, 4 lots down, sold for ฿460k. Along with finding land for 2nd house, on Thai site. And she does almost all the manual labor. She built our greenhouse, every aspect of it, welding, roofing, fencing. Negotiated the ฿1.1M price for present house, and play liaison with builder for 2nd house, to make sure things done correctly. Along with land department getting 6 rai chop to 2 rai + four 1 rai lots. She redid the plumbing of present house, as they sucked at it. Without her, I would not have got the price for the first house, that we did, and at best broke even, instead of 50% profit, as she did a lot of the work prepping to sell. She has earned her way, all the way, in our relationship. along with being mother to my village orphan as if her own. PRICELESS stuff. Without her, after that sold, 1st house, I would have rented. Without her, we couldn't have bought the 6 rai, and built the 2nd house, sold that, and the other 4 rai separately, that returned all the cost of the land & 2nd house build, along with profits paying for the 3rd house, w/solar & EV. Literally saving myself about about ฿3.2M in rent alone, over 18 years, for comparable properties to live in @ ฿15k a month, if I rented. That's quite the contribution without having a salaried job. She was a computer graphic designer, and I asked her to quit working after we met. She was on a 'relationship break' then divorced her husband when I met her while working at Sis's night market restaurant. It's not always about how much each puts into a relationship financially That's why wives get 50% of all at divorce, because they probably earned it. Especially if they had to put up with some of the sh!t I've seen some of these A-hole subjected them to. You can't put a price an that BS. So reality, she financed most everything, after I gave her access to the mere 1.4M to work with, what the first house sold for, that only cost ฿800k. She provided a very nice ROI. Lived about 3M rent free over 18 yrs, and have about ฿4M+ in assets now. Saving me at least ฿4M out of pocket, along with future rent of ฿15k a month, if not having present house. She's PRICELESS in this relationship, and it's nice having an intellectual equal to talk to and be with 24/7. We're quite like minded in other aspects of our life 😉😉 There's a reason it lasted 18+ years ... we treat each other as equals.
  15. I thought I was tough on cars in the past. He needs to tow that out, put in on a proper road, after he washes it, if he expects his ins. co. to cover it
  16. Do they give out awards for enjoying life ? Stop thinking about what other people think, say, expect of others, and life is so much more enjoyable That reads better than ... "I simply don't give a F"
  17. Fresh, if isn't cooked that day, it gets vacuum sealed then in the freezer. Only buy frozen seafood, emphasis on 'sea', and avoid buying fresh water or farmed fish. Prefer to buy all meats frozen if close to same price, and really depends on planned use. Along with how much space is available in freezers. Even buy frozen chicken parts, let thaw enough to separate, then refreeze individual servings. At Makro, it's the exact same stuff they put out as fresh. Never buy meats from local fresh/wet market.
  18. Not a fan, or Inthanon Coffee, a bit better (@ Bangchak petrol station) Personally, I'd rather drink Instant Hazelnut Cappuccino from 7-11 @ ฿20 (Aroma ?) When we're O&A, we take our French press with us, and our own coffee, for that morning cup at the hotel. We'll drink coffee at coffee shops, but few have really impressed me. There was a Dunkin donuts @ Udon Thani that made a good cup of coffee. I usually don't buy from the chains. Bon Cafe was also decent @ Udon Thani. Haven't had either since leaving UT.
  19. Just commented on size/price point. Agree, I've had SB only once (@ MEM airport), and wouldn't drink it again. One of the worst & expensive, as everyone in USA gives you an 8 or 12oz cup of coffee. Best taste & value, was WAWA Hazelnut (Philly, USA), 16oz was like $1, though quite some time ago. Delicious and back then, I wasn't a coffee drinker.

  21. If on a main road they won't sell alcohol either. Maybe the ones near you are franchises, owned by Muslims.
  22. I'd still be serving my life sentence if charged with all the times I've had sex in public, discreetly as possible. Well, to the naked eye, usually. Sure I've been captured on CCTV more than a few times
  23. Never noticed any problems with 'white' people, just people in general. I find all people, to be about the same, some good, some not so. I don't take responsibility for anyone, no matter race, religion or sex, and nothing superior about any. Along with not blaming any race for anything. I really don't know anyone who blames another race for their or local/state/country's woes. That just silly. Things ain't going right for you, it's usually the guy/gal in the mirrors fault With few exception, everyone I know takes responsibility for themselves. Those that don't usually blame their parents or the govt.
