Most women I know, along with the wife, which I stated somewhere, still 'smokin' hot', along with her peers, 45-50 yrs old. None bar gals, or even bother with the bar scene. When I was playing single dad here, non P4P bar hopping, and Thai establishments had plenty of babes in the 30-50 age bracket. Not all folks are heffers when they their 40s, worldwide, even the USA, contrary to the spin of everyone is obese in USA.

Are Older Men in Thailand Trading Love for Financial Ruin
KhunLA replied to CharlieH's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Don't know how TH is different from any other country they may move to, or even finding new love in their own country. Choose wisely, and live with your choices, or not ... UP2U I've benefited greatly by being in TH, especially with 2nd Thai wife, coming up on 2 decades (19 yrs) living together. More so than the same amount of adult life in the USA. Both countries are fun, and provided plenty of opportunities & smiles Not a whole lot of romantics here. When it's love, you know it. The Mrs can leave anytime she wants, as she's self sufficient. Didn't need me before we met (52 &30), doesn't need me now. -
That toe, actually both, have been slightly 'crushed' a couple times. I used to paint 'em, just the big toes, and they looked better, but the wife doesn't like the attention I use to get on the BTS/MRT when using. Might have been my choice of color, sparkly green

Since having only 1 inverter system, I really should prep for the worst. Or it gives me a reason to go O&A, and just have our installer sort it out. House key is under that rock, sorry, no beer in house. I got plenty of extension cords -

I guess you don't buy any cars in TH, as there aren't many Thai auto makers here. There's the low spec'd Thai BEV truck maker .... oh crap -

Actually it can, along with heat up your water kettle for a cuppa ... when you feel like chilling in Nakhon Nowhere ... Provide AC all night, while you snooze in it, without the worry of carbon monoxide poisoning. @7:20 of 2nd vid -
Paragraphs, as if it isn't long enough. NO, didn't bother reading as the title is silly enough. Plenty of the world's country leaders have been women, and just as good or bad as men. The BIBLE ... now that's funny

How many times are you adjusting everything in the car ... seriously. I start the car, make sure AC is on high, (usually done before I turn it off), open the gate, let dog toke a quick P, then hop in the now cooled off car, and I'm on my way. Any luck and the auto gate opener/closer is outside, and I don't even need to close the gate. As pointed out in vid, I can drive the car, with just my left hand. Need to tap the accelerated after it stops 'by itself' when cruise control engaged. Oh yea, need right hand to turn wipers on. Don't even need to turn the lights on, as does that by itself. All I need to steer, with NO NEED EVER to take my eyes off the road. I'm pretty sure none of my ICEVs were that convenient to drive. OK, the MG ZS was. Definitely not the new Toyotas or Maxda that I owned in TH. You guys are a trip ... what else can you think of ... VID_20241009_133607.mp4

MG ZS .. don't know if that's a buffer or what. Might be reserve car needs to operate or probably so you can't be an idiot and kill the battery -

More ignorance, as the MG dealers have been stellar, the past 4 yrs since owning. Much better than Toyota, Mitsubishi & Mazda IMHO

You buy a depreciating product ... it depreciates, especially when better & cheaper is available. Look at all the electronic, the past 20 ish years, how silly priced they seem now, when we bought them at entry market prices. People want a free market, well, now you have it. No longer controlled by the legacy auto maker. It's great for the consumer, considering the performance machines you can have now for the entry level cars from JP. ICEVs won't be around much longer ... so how can you sell them in the future. The ignorance won't last for ever, and people won't be buying 2nd hand ICEVs. Our BEV will surely outlast me (~70 yrs old), and probably the wife, and she's only 48. AND .. we get to save 30-40-50k baht a year, by not needing to buy petrol. Times that by 20 years, and the BEV, just paid for itself, and if & when ready to upgrade, the battery pack gets added to the solar. -

Not the companies, 3rd party testing, And those are conservative estimates. These based on 2500 cycles, when others state they may get up to 10k cycles. Surely will outlast the rest of the vehicle. Then get to repurpose it to your solar system ... 😎 source source- 145 replies

Autos are a depreciating liability ... period. Paying cash is best, for that reason, or, if financing way below inflation rate. Some dealers/banks offering 1-2%, so pretty hard not to finance, if not wanting to touch savings.

If you want to tax more fairly, get rid of all the deduction/allowances, along with subsidies, all markets, all industries, and simply have flat tax. Flat tax of 15-20-25%. That would be fair. Because someone has the desire to make more, they shouldn't be penalized with higher taxes. That's just stupid. Half pays less that <15% tax, many, no income tax at all or an average of 3.3%. And I've been hit with 37% income tax, and that's just 'federal'. That's not a fair tax code... that's BS source -
"but there was no evidence of thermal runaway from the Li-ion battery." Contradicts the whole theory that the EV was the cause of the fire. Not stating it was or wasn't ... BUT ... if our car got submerged, then it's a good chance it might turn up stolen or totaled by fire. Much better insurance pay out ... no questions asked 🙄

I think it is 4 yrs / 120k kms now. Was 5 yrs when we got our, then they dropped to 4, then back to 5, and now I think back to 4 yrs. @Yodarapper edit: thought it was 5, almost positive. But just read promo dated Mar 2022, stating 4 yrs, although we bought ours late April, and BYD Atto3 had arrived, So they might have up'd it to 5 yrs.

No need to PM as easy to answer ... 1. We've been as far south as Betong, Yala, north to CM, and east to Trat & wee bit beyond, and never a problem charging. 2. We have a wall charging cable, provided free & installed by MG subcontractor, and we rarely use. The granny/emergency charging cable (photo'd above) that also comes with the car is more than adequate, for most of our charging. 3. You shouldn't have a problem selling it, though price may not be exactly what you want. Still early to tell how that market will be the next couple years. I suspect better than now, as their price war is keeping new prices down. If the govt incentives expire in a couple years, then you get a very nice price. Download this app on Google Play, (Charge Loma) maybe Apple, and will give you a ball park idea of CS (Charging Stations) country wide, or peak at this thread. No shortage of.
