  1. How much have you ? Trump has paid 10's of millions in taxes, if not 100's over the year. How FEMA spends it, of govt sends it overseas to fight proxy wars isn't his concern ... unless when president.
  2. Yep .... NO work, NO eat. Just picking up the trash roadside would be a great help. Landscaping at parks. The dangerous folks, stamp out license plates Plenty of things to do, unskilled or skilled. Skilled, knock some time off your sentence. Unskilled, may even learn a trade = rehabilitation.
  3. agree ... rat snake
  4. All vehicles across the board will be depreciating, as long as there is a price war. CN is bringing in a new era of 'auto sales', stopping the price gouging for their under performing POS,from the legacy auto makers, and it's coming to an end ... thankfully
  5. Judging the judgmental ... nuff said
  6. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time. Lucky they provide food at all. Predators of society should be on a work farm, producing their own.
  7. Last 2 X that I was in the surf there, I got ear infections, and I'm not prone to ear infections. Actually the first times I ever had in Thailand from swimming in the surf. Can't imaging the sewer that Ao Prachuap is, doesn't go over to there. Not sure if the base has a water treatment plant, and highly doubtful. Have to ask my buddy, as he works & lives there, but also won't go in the surf. That's aside from being a very shallow and piss warm water. Not very refreshing at all. .... nuff said
  8. Biden / Harris administration has been very good for expats in Thailand. Hoping for the sequel come November, long may it last. 2024 ... HARRIS ... 2024
  9. You have to self entertain, as there is not a whole lot here. NO nightlife. Limited shopping. Have a Makro, doesn't really stock western foods like Hua Hin' & Pranburi's Makro. No Villa Market, no Bluport, no Tops, and a very crappy Lotus's. Very few AC'd restaurants, surf is not swimmable, though lovely bays to look at. Have a decent surfside weekend walking street market, but after 5X ... gets boring, as same ol', same ol'. We love it, but need to be in a different mindset. We're preoccupied with playing subsistent farmer now Keeps us busy, as I was clearing one of the land lots she picked up last week. On that, land is silly priced. ฿1-2M a rai, and not close to town. 1/4 rai s we bought last week were ฿350k, and not on a paved road. If you pop down for a visit, make sure it's during the week (mon - thurs) also, to get a feel for the place. Surfside gets weekenders that tire of Hua Hin, and don't won't to got the extra to Ban Krut.

  11. No, would defeat the whole purpose of flat income tax. Minimum wage $25.00, so enough for all to live on. No non working welfare program. No more free ride. You have kids, then you work and your kids will be in day care, Oil and Electric companies, nationalized, no more windfall profits for providing necessities. That's BS. Socialism and democratic Republic, can coexist. Yea, I'm dreaming ... that's why I left the <deleted>hole. Now .. Living the Dream
  12. "Family" relocating ... nah, definitely wouldn't recommend that. Not even sure if good idea for single person now. Haven't research alternatives, but TH probably wouldn't be my choice to retire if doing over again. Honestly haven't got a clue where I'd go. Maybe Canada, Mexico, or Central America (Belizd, Costa Rica), maybe even Cuba, or Puerta Rico. Except hurricane season Like the idea of being nomadic actually, in USA/Americas 👍
  13. Shy of 19 yrs, so 1000s of times ... never boring 😎 IF, they actually knew how to do a therapeutic massage, but the couple I've had were a waste of time & money. Relaxing, but that's about it. I have no problem relaxing by myself for free.
  14. I remember the reports of clinton winning by large margins ... ... until last minute and it was over
  15. Tropical environment Surfside views / life ? Small mountain views Inexpensive O & A (accommodations) NO RE Taxes (#! for finances) Healthcare, inexpensive & accessible (#2 for finances) Low labor cost (all services), adds to low cost living Easy investing (Land .. IF .. having trustworthy partner) Easy Visa, IF meeting requirements NO PC / Woke silliness Closeness to CN, inexpensive Solar & EVs Freedom for abusive govt regulation Everything & anything can be sourced here No major earthquakes, tornados, typhoons
  16. Less than 10% of budget goes to social (welfare) programs for the poor. Unless you include healthcare, which isn't stickily for the poor, and most to retirees, I think. Graph 2022 budget % (wiki)
  17. NO, as not my fault you just don't get it. You apparently don't have the slightest clue about the middle east conflicts. I could continue to try to explain it to you, but I can't make you understand it. Your replies point that fact out. Have a Nice Day @Nick Carter icp Do you have any idea what you are talking about. Read the Palestinian National Covenant (Charter), when and who wrote it, who (PLO) it represents ? How it operates, (PNC) who votes (never happened), or any aspect of it. How it's been continually changed.
  18. Been to both PKK & HH govt hosp. and about the same actually. HH has a "Special Medical Clinic" that expats recommend on a local forum, but have not sampled. PKK hosp to HH hosp, and I would allow 2 hrs to drive, as it's on the very north side of town.
  19. We're looking to get about 6 of them also. Leaning more toward Rhode Island Red, Lehgor & Barlade breeds, as supposedly good egg layers, (count/size), and strong egg shells. Also will travel to pick up.
  20. Even more of a CC, that's our food budget for the month. Nothing exciting about a massage parlor, or a P4P bar. OK, the eye candy is nice, but that's it. Pretty boring if no challenge/conquest or emotions involved. Can I rent one of the elephants, got some heavy lifting to do, prepping another land lot for something ... haven't decided yet. Plenty of bananas & papaya to feed it 😎
  21. THANKS ... stories like this make me appreciate the wife even more. What a bargain, as all I have to do is feed her. And our food budget is only about ฿15k a month. Maybe ฿20k next year And also get a cook, maid service, gardener, handy person, translator, and most important ... dish washer and auto gate opener/closer Oh yea, and I better have my damn coffee before 0800 hrs ☕
