  1. 250M ... Chump change compared to the 1.9 Billion spent on Harris campaign Some silly A$$ money spent ... ... "Harris outraised her Republican opponent, with groups including the Democratic National Committee and affiliated fundraising vehicles — among them Super Pacs, which can raise unlimited amounts from individuals — attracting more than $2.3bn and spending $1.9bn. Trump groups and the Republican National Committee took in just over $1.8bn and spent $1.6bn." ... https://www.ft.com/content/c3613e1b-c15d-47b8-a502-400c4114c09e
  2. Fairly simple solution, a couple well placed air purifiers place next to his smoking chair, with a rug or towel, on floor at door, so nothing seeps into the hallway. Simple solutions for minor issues. Or, simply buy eatables, as suggested earlier.
  3. Someone mention burger Only ฿42, and some Pandan buns. Actually rare I eat those locally, and save for when O&A, if hungry (like yesterday), and too lazy, or nothing else of interest. The latter as I drove through Khlong Wan, just south of Ao Manao beach, when the hunger hit hard. Too early for most vendors, as not set up for the the Nightly street market yet. No street vendor perking my interest, and 7-11 right their, and way too tempting. Why the photo, you may ask. Taunting the wife, on the fine dining she missed, while sitting surfside outside Joy's Coffee (bottom of map), since not coming with us, myself & Sniffy the Wonder Dog, my therapist. Simply out appreciating where we live, as don't want to be that guy that lives near the Gulf, and never takes advantage of the coastal views of surf & limestone karsts & walls along the drive. Only 42 kms, but took 1 hr 45 mins. Stop to walk dog at top of map, 168 Coffee. Snaps of the Cattle Egrets, taken near Joy's Coffee, which if in the area, nice surfside shop for sweets and a coffee. Just a normal day's local outing in Nakhon Nowhere 😎 Some 'whoosa time', lite therapy, appreciating waking up, and a few snaps. Livin' the Dream 😎
  4. Udon Thani ... City Pillars
  5. Dealing with that amount of money, you may want to use a RE lawyer. Simple enough sales contract to write up though. 2.3M as down payment toward Chanote #s Transfer to buyer when paid in full, at or before certain date. If default, down payment returned, minus any compensation agreed upon for taking property off the market.
  6. I thought that, last 1/3, was the best part. Killing folks a wee bit different. Just fast forward to the part where she finds and goes into the town where the 'cult' live. Also brings the plotline together, and explains a lot of the previous scenes / conversations.
  7. Simple answer ... not to our knowledge, at present, as enforcement of what ever version of law they decide on, hasn't been instituted .... yet. Will the become retroactive to today ... again .. don't think anyone knows. All depends if you are a tax resident, and if your DTA, exempts said transfer or not. What, when, if and how that will be instituted, is still a big question ... IMHO By now, with info that is available of what may be, most people should know what their tax burden, if any, will be, at least a ball park idea. Pretty sure I got mine down to, too poor, and not enough that isn't already exempt to worry. When I read these threads, I'm guessing most people never did their own taxes.
  8. Legal ... how about just being considerate. Away from all people and their noses. Nobody wants to smell other people's smoke, well, most anyway. Especially if eating.
  9. Now y'all are just being silly. If they wanted to stop the pay outs, they could do anytime they wanted, and come up with any excuse. Give it a rest. They are not going to F with 28% of the registered voters.
  10. OK, back On Topic, 'in garden' or behind the house. About 20 Egrets, at least. Too many to fit in frame.
  11. Our 'view' now, and a bit different than this morning 👍 Clearing the field, lot behind the house, and took down a tree line. Now we can see the Wat on top of the limestone hill at surfside, along with much more of the wall of limestone also. Abet zoomed in. Could do without seeing the house, or rather, them having a view of ours. May have to start wearing clothes on the veranda 😎 Last photo is what it was this morning ish ... OK, that one isn't today 🙄
  12. Clearing the field in the back of the house, and lots of Eastern Cattle-Egret - Ardea coromanda following the digger around. Seems to be the season. Not out back, but at surfside area, also today, more than a few there also. Took a few snaps ...
  13. I dropped out of the 1% in 2010 Also the only year I was in it ... shh Now I'm bottom 50% (earnings). Saying that, pre 2000, and now, friends and family still alive, I didn't and don't know anyone that lives month to month as implied. Though 2025, and think quite a few do now. 40 million getting some kind of food purchasing assistance. Something wrong with that picture. In TH, so .... multi-millionaire status ...
  14. See it's the competition (GWM) crying about BYD's price cuts. No surprise, as really hard to compete if you have to buy the batteries from BYD or CATL. The supercharger thingy is nice, if you are O&A quite a bit, and there is a supercharging network in your country. So useless in TH. Our car now is probably considered low tech & obsolete Only a 50 kWh battery and no lifetime warranty. What a POS. Still more car than we need or use.... and ... still LOVIN' IT ❤️
  15. Why should he pay court cost, because some over ambitious prosecutor tried to advance his/her career with a high profile case with zero evident. There's no victims here, just a pimp, who's only big mistake was crossing state lines.
  16. Didn't think you could sound any more foolish ... I was wrong. Troll on ... BYE BYE Not building up to JP specs ... that's a good thing ... "Toyota did recall some of its bZ4X electric vehicles due to a potential issue with the wheels potentially falling off." ...
  17. Maybe even enter into a relationship with a live, in person, touchable, human being ...
  18. VS buying from CN, that have a few more years of experience putting out EVs. And, the wheels don't fall of, like on Toyota Where do you think Toyota gets their batteries from ??? Don't buy a BYD, buy Toyota with BYD parts ...
  19. Someone posted elsewhere, they don't trust Toyota, and have to agree. They got caught submitting cars for safety ratings that don't come off the production lines. That's F'd up. Puts them in the very untrustworthy class as VW. Sadly, seems to be an industry wide thing for JP. Someone please tell us all again ... "I would never buy a car from CN, can't trust them"
  20. Really ... interesting, as never could get a straight answer, as some websites really suck. Even MG doesn't specify sometimes the chemistry, and some are still listed as lithium ion and not LFP, when I know they are LFP. I'm so bored at times, was thinking about getting a used Neta, and a kit, to make a dune buggy or something (mini pick up) for local knocking around Might be a bit more technical than I'm up for, depending how the electronics are wired through out. Yea, I think about that kind of sh!t. The old days, when you could take a torch to a car and cut off most things without worrying
  21. Not sure if it's numbers of cars sold, or simply dependable, but the MG dealers we stop to charge at, the service bays are never full. With the one exception, Hua Hin, but the place is so small, I think only 2 lifts. Unlike when owning a Toyota or Mazda, and a Q to schedule a day in, this week or even next week.
  22. Agree, and I can't really think of a better place, or I'd be there. As I don't need to be here, I actually want to be here in TH. I could probably be just as happy, and or bored at times, elsewhere. Like the added freedom, stress free, and inexpensive existence here. Ease of seeing our daughter, though she has little time off of work, so that doesn't keep us here as much, as one would think. As driving 8 - 10 hrs round trip with a hotel stay, just to spend the day with her, once a month, isn't much different than flying in from a neighboring country once a month, for a long weekend at the Big Mango.
  23. One has always been available when we've wanted, and I've never Q'd up to use, even when O&A during the weekends. Never an issue with us .... yet. Have wanted to stop to P, and or eat, and next one was full, so just went down to the next available. Yes, there are that many now, or one might be on the other side of the highway. The inconvenience a making a U-turn ... hell no
  24. He's already been in jail 9 months. Depending on how much of a business the pimping was, he might just get big fine & time served. Couldn't have been that large of a money stream, or feds would have went after him for tax evasion. Realistically, he charged his friends & associates (customers) for hookers. Not exactly 'crimes against humanity'. Sure many convicted of the same got a year or less sentence.
  25. Along with allowing the public to use, as most owners may be a work, so not charging. Really is loss opportunities. Especially in the metros, where condos and the need for more chargers is greater. When we go to BKK to visit daughter, we stop outside of, on hwy 35, and top up, if not and usually earlier Don't want to 'need' to top up in the city, and we usually need to stop anyway. Although we don't need to top up before we get to her condo or hotel. Just easier to plug in when we do stop, as that's inevitable before we get there, just for a P and a munch, since 285 kms & 4 ish hrs away.
