Why open ... ... because you're an alky, and want cheaper alcohol ... because nobody that actually knows you, wants to drink with you ... you think your female staff will have sex with you, since you control their income ... and lastly ...

Biden's New Nuclear Strategy: A Shift Toward China
KhunLA replied to Social Media's topic in World News
"President Joe Biden has approved revisions to a classified nuclear strategy document" ... shouldn't all these headlines say "Pres. Biden's handlers approved .... " -
"Americans are still completely ignorant and resistant to change." 👍 With import tax & tariffs to keep CH BEV price high. And the MSM anti CH spin being as strong as ever. Big Oil still rules the USA. Big 3 never could compete with Asian auto makers, so invested in them

What’s your favorite beach in Phuket that’s not overrun with tourists?
KhunLA replied to MichaelJackson's topic in Phuket
Yes, plenty of surf & sand if just looking. North of the popular one, and vendors nearby. Anywhere north of Bang Tao beach. Been to most of them, very nice. Having transport helps, and or staying nearby. Swim at you own risk though, if going in. Can even do some plane spotting ... ... and yes, even Phuket has a bit of a smog problem in February, when photo was taken. That is not a moisture haze. That hill in background should be crystal clear. -
Diving Koh Tao - question about Basic Open Water license
KhunLA replied to heiri007's topic in Diving in Thailand
Where are you coming from ? Phuket and or Phi Phi a much better option over the Gulf ... ... season dependent of course. I dove both Sept/Oct, and vis was nice. A little shy of fish, and that was 1999/2000. Phuket is all day affair, PP was better. Actually Phuket was deeper than open water, (I think), so might want to stick with PP, as nice, close shallow dives. If in the Americas, then get certified there. S FL, Keys, Caribbean. -

Looking to buy a new SUV - any recommendations?
KhunLA replied to fezza's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
I wouldn't waste my time, it's like trying to tell a child the world isn't flat. Comparing an 11 yr old Swift to any EV ... IGNORANCE IS BLISS Not surprising his microwave is crap, since he can't pick a good car ether. I peeked at Swifts, a bunch of cheap plastic interior, and didn't even bother with a test drive, as not something I'd want to sit in. I'd take the Neta Vs over any JP badged entry level car 'made in TH' And for 150-200k less price. These trolls haven't a clue ... sad really. Have hard time replying to their silliness any more without saying something offensive. -
Looking to buy a new SUV - any recommendations?
KhunLA replied to fezza's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Great ... a 'what if' situation. It doesn't cost that now to replace the battery, let alone after an 8 yr warranty. And the whole battery probably wouldn't need to be replaced, just the module not performing. Another 'what if' ... the car last even close to the almost 1M kms expected. Oh crap, that's only 50 years of driving for us, what will do A Swift, and an 11 yr old one. My condolences -
Wonder what conglomerates are behind that move. Probably the same that killed GM's electric car almost 20 years ago. Not hybrids, but pushed hydrogen back then ... see how for that went, but gave them ~20 more years of profits. Anything to keep the oil flowing and the high operating & maintenance cost of vehicle ownership going.

You can add Mr Covid to the sub sub sub forum also Just my opinion of course. Although, if all the TH, RU, CH bashing & every freaking MVA wasn't posted ... there wouldn't be much left of the forum to read. I come in on the 'new content page', and it is a quick read. Can easily do 12 hours in less than 5 minutes. Open the 3 or 5 that might interest me in another tab, then come back and read them. But EVs, Solar, Food & Out and Abouts probably bore the hell out of other people. It is what it is ... Mango, pineapple, papaya

Yellow book definitely helps, as no need for CoR, hopefully, dealer & province dependent. -

I believe it had hold of a 'sensitive' area, is the blip I read. Probably not knowing what it was till he killed ... those 2 factors give him a pass. Guess I'm a bit pathetic also, as not many I encounter do well after the encounter, if I'm not 100% sure it's harmless. Family takes priority. -
thanks, as I actually just ran out of. Starting to make all my own condiments, and this will be the first. Waiting to run out of the rest.

Counter to everything you're told, eat protein, lean or fatty, doesn't matter, but balance the fat in the protein, with added or cooking fats. Sort of a keto-ish or even carnivore diet. Though myself, don't think I could handle a hard core carnivore diet. Scratch non fibrous card, and as much (all) sugar that you can. Actually you can eat almost as much as you want, without getting silly. Proteins don't seem to taste as good, once full. Not like carbs & sweets where you can gouge yourself. Add a daily intermittent fast, overnight is the easiest, as you're sleeping through half of it. 12-15-18 hrs of no food. Drink lots of water, especially first week, and your body will stop storing water. Good for a couple kgs losss right there. Drink a good bit with your meals, as very filling and good for digestion. Whole foods (learn how to cook) are best, and read any processed food's label, or, my thinking is, if it has a label, I kind of avoid it to begin with. If I need to read the crap that's in it, I'll pass. Here's a list of 'keto approved' foods that I actually eat, and are available in TH. I whittled down the full list (photo), to what I actually would eat and what's readily available here, I think. Lot more on the list than I thought would be. Actually more approved, but not readily available or I simply wouldn't eat it.

Several neighbouring countries compete with Thailand for foreign retirees
KhunLA replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Not much of a competition in my eyes, as neither destination interest me. Or the other 2 countries, if they were expat friendly. -
Oh Beloved Bangkok, How So You Have Changed...
KhunLA replied to HugoFastor's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
All the changes have been a positive IMHO I'd like to see foreign adult entertain ghetto areas (nana, cowboy, silom) shut down, as simply embarrassing, but easily avoided, and provides an income & tax revenue stream. It is what it is 😎
