  1. Why 10kW of panels, with 12kW inverter ?
  2. 25 years on, and nothing has changed since I've been here. Simple, don't use them. Can't really remember last time I did use one, and they used the meter. In my experience, most do. But I'm not an idiot tourist, and or the wife will do the talking.
  3. USA ... an "Empire" ... that's some funny sh!t right there
  4. It's restricted, since healthcare is a multi trillion $$$ industry, and so much more profitable all around, if meds are restricted. Doc gets to charge you for writing simple script for the mildest of meds. Restricted gives the illusion it's expensive, so larger profit for higher pricing. Since the symptoms of Dengue are nothing more than the flu, at on set, and beyond, unless a bad case, or worse, hemorrhagic. In which case, unless stopping aspirin as soon as 1st symptoms, then it's probably to late too bother stopping, unless hemorrhagic, which you would be diagnosed too late anyway. So pretty much screwed if on heavy dose of aspirin and get Dengue hemorrhagic fever.
  5. And yet, we're in SEA Does not 'west' refer to 'western' societies, much like 'western foods'. I prefer 1st or 3rd world myself, or country and or continent.
  6. Yep, and so easy behind a keyboard ...
  7. I'm always, usually 'off topic' as rarely have breakfast. What I post, is simply my 1st meal of the day, and usually around noon +/- Not when most eat their 'breakfast', but technically, my 'break fast' is spot on, as exactly what it is. Sometimes not qualifying as "morgenmete", since many times after the non hour of the day 😎
  8. That vid just happen to pop up, and caught my eye. I don't follow him, or put too much stock in what he puts out. Sometimes spot on, others, not even close and just speculation on his part. Can't see how anyone puts out that much content, about an industry and foreign country, and not being in either. Along with tending to the needs of his wife, if even needing. 300+k followers and ding dong patreon followers, guessing he's pushing 1M AUD a year income.
  9. I can and did. Always a gap in age of my relationships. One was 19 and I was 38, and largest gap in USA. Another was 18 when I was 28, only 10 year gap, but at those ages, seemed like a lot. She couldn't drink alcohol at restaurant, when first together. She was one of my life long 'friends' with bennies', over 25+ years. Same with my first wife, 17 and me 23, (her father had issue with the age gap) married at 19 & 25, and drinking age was 21 Always about a 10 year gap in my relationships.. First Thai wife was half my age, 22 / 45, present wife is 22 yrs younger, 48 / 70. I could easily see myself with Yank partner 20 yrs younger than myself. In USA, never started dating anyone older than 30, and I left there at 45 yrs old. Getting the sense, that most AN members don't know how to 'listen' and talk with women 😎
  10. @BritManToo In a country with such income disparity, of course. if said fat, ugly POS qualifies for a -0- visa for retirement, then that's a millionaire, almost, in a 3rd world country. Some, many obviously, will accept that tub of sh!t for obvious gain, and may even last a long time, or what little time they have left. Even better, get a Yank, and have a baby ... steady income for about 20 years 👍👍
  11. Have you tried the online vendors ? You could just use 81 (60 tab jar @ 50 baht) and take six of them. Not sure if instant or slow release. Buy a box of 10 at a time. Choose wisely as I did buy aspirin from an online vendor, recommended on AN quite often, (forget name, but was not Medisafe) and was 50% more than my local pharmacy.
  12. I agree, and MG has been stellar, most times, though rarely need anything from them. Their charging network is excellent, with comfy service dept. waiting areas. I was thinking some big wig got a nice dealership contract, and totally screwed it up. Affecting more than a few dealerships & customers. Not sure how CN does things, or the repercussions of such a failure or consumer protection. Remember when I bought my Toyota Vios, and the dealers in Udon Thani were owned by same people. So thought I'd check out NBLP & NK dealers for some competitive pricing. Noticed all the paperwork & pricing was exactly the same. Yea, same family owned all of them. Now if they went belly up, the news could easily state, Toyota closing dealerships in NE TH, and wouldn't be a good look, but irrelevant county or worldwide. Just curious if locals noticed anything different of late here in TH.
  13. Stick this here, as don't want to pollute the EV threads. Apparently in CN, BYD having some issues, and doesn't sound good, especially for the customers. Anti EV'er can jump in and say 'told you so', although not really sure what's going on. What if any effect it will have here in TH, on non CN markets. Any BYD owners noticing anything different when going in for check up, or charging. Attitude changes, if you interact with staff ??? Certain hasn't affected their stock, though the year long price war made it dip quite a bit, but recovered.
  14. very rare - provided in room.
  15. We travel with a micro & kettle ... ... along with French press & ground coffee, and some place settings of course 🙄
  16. Green Curry Chicken, Smoked Chicken Breast, and Salmon w/Penne pasta ... ... Thank You 7-eleven ...
  17. And give people the opportunity to think for themselves ... that's funny. Under 65 yrs old, and the risk was so low of fatality, if even hospitalized, when the worse of it was around. Now, more likely to die from the flu if already on borrowed time ... IMHO
  18. I'm fairly anti social, but I've engaged with strangers many times, and had some great conversation, when O&A. Not so much locally. One exceptional afternoon, yakked for a while poolside at Phuket, to an older Iranian, actor, writer, movie producer. Extremely enlightening, as was around before & after the Shah of Iran got deposed. Went from very bad to worse. He does 6 months Iran & 6 months Phuket every year.
  19. Nothing changed for me, so easy adjustment. Usually alone, (not lonely) especially last 5 years in USA, as away from hometown area (Philly metro). Had a couple friends in those last few years in USA (Memphis metro). Did shift hobbies, considerably. Upgraded photography to fancy camera & wildlife, vs simple holiday snaps, mostly underwater. Stopped scuba diving, as main O&A hobby, after a few dives here in TH, as just not interesting, compared to past experience. Sex, drugs & RR is now down to just sex, after first 5 ish years of weekly, then monthly alcohol warrior, to now nothing. Museums, the art, concerts & plays are fairly none existent or repetitively boring here, TH. Never had a problem meeting & hooking up with like minded folks, at any age, and wouldn't be different now if single. Living the relationship dream now, and was living the single dream here in TH, in between marriages. All good. Something the internet has done, is drive introverts deeper into being alone, as can entertain themselves a bit more at home with internet, porn, games. Don't even have to go out to eat or shop, just order food and all one's needs, as so many delivery options now. Almost sad, IF, wasn't voluntary. LIVE WITH ONE'S CHOICES ME ... roll with it ... BE HAPPY Introverts and miserable lot ... get out there and don't bring your problems with you ... 😎
  20. Also means that there are probably better values available.
  21. Any accommodations I post, should assume it's 'pet friendly', usually comfy basic, unless obviously not, and not in the main tourist area. Which justifies the cost, usually <āļŋ1000, unless in Krung Thep area. Location always noted and info on Gmaps
