Your Cut?: Convict? Allman Brothers? Or, Billiards? Etc.?
KhunLA replied to GammaGlobulin's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
That's subjective ???? I go with a 4mm buzz (just the other day), then it grows back in. When over the ears, trim that, another month, and back to 4mm. Rinse & repeat Through the year ... -
as I stated, topic of the forum, quite often, hard to miss, along with being in the news. I guess not all folks keep up with things that can pop up as we age. Relative, but 10 years is not a short time, and each new development, hits the news. Shingle vaccines have been around since 1995 and available since 2006. Frankly, I wouldn't touch any of them. Too many side effects, and apparently not very effective. IMHO

I'd be more concerned about the circuitry/electric of the jacuzzi. "OK honey, you hop in first, I'm right behind you"

Thai wife wants to buy land
KhunLA replied to jayceenik's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
As sungod stated, it's just a statement that it's hers, and you have no claim to it, and may even state all her money used to buy. I forget the details of it, but done a few myself. No big deal, and NO, you don't need a lawyer. -
Up to 30 million visitors expected this year: TAT
KhunLA replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Good luck with the 30M, although... if the west keeps with the anti CH & RU thing going, then TH is too easy & inexpensive vs western destinations they don't seem to be welcomed at. Add the anti Muslim sentiment, again, TH is another easy choice. They may get back to 40M ways sooner than I expected. Unfortunately ???? -
Lately it's been ฿800-1200 +/- either side of that. Yes, Krung Thep, of late, add ฿1000

Has to be pet friendly ... so limits our selection. Next would be view from balcony/room, and or the grounds of hotel. Green areas at, or out the gate a plus, that dog thing again. Secure parking or I can actually see the car from room, preferably, in front/next to room/bungalow. Quiet, though we don't do metro areas that much. Away from farang tourist/nightlife areas, bars, noise. Near restaurants, or at least a 7-11, always a plus, though don't mind walking or driving. If Krung Thep, near public trans, MRT/BTS/bus line. We don't do taxi/grab, unless unavoidable. Sometimes location is a priority, depends why there. Room itself, AC, balcony, soft bed, ensuite toilet/shower. Bungalows a plus, though most are, unless at Krung Thep Size-20+m², and rarely use a pool, so not important. Budget, that's wide margin ฿500-฿2500, rare we break ฿2500 Brekkie or food available, not important, unless way out there.

Got shingles about 14 yrs ago, and since then, have noticed it's in the news quite a bit. Might be like, never notice Charging Stations for EVs, until you actually think about getting one, then you see them everywhere ???? But shingles has been a topic headliner on AN almost monthly, so hard to miss. And ... you really don't want to get a bad case of. It still lingers today, and yet to figure out what the trigger is. With that, I'd advise anyone, who knows that chicken pox is making the rounds in the village, go share some smoothies with those kids. Get coughed & sneezed on, get exposed and boost your immune system. I can't hurt.

It's all personal taste & opinions. That something is made by a certain nationality for a certain national dish is totally irrelevant today. Anyone can replicate a recipe. One of the best pizzas I've had in Thailand, was from a Thai ma/pa shop. One of, if not the worst NY Style pizza was from a New Yorker, and apparently I wasn't alone, as his business failed, miserably. He had an excellent Greek Gyro, until the Thai cook left, and went independent. Taste for me, and what I expect, comes from what I grew up on. Coming from Philly, PA, USA, and S Philly being predominately Italian immigrants back in the day, it's fair to say I've had my share of 2nd generation Italian food & Pizza. Have yet to have better, made by any Italian chefs, here in TH. Never been to Italy, so can't comment. But the Italian chefs here that I've sample, most suck. I've yet to have a foreigner, put out a dish, from any nation, better than a Thai chef. And I live to eat, not eat to live. Pizza, for me, it's Philly style, and mirrors NY Style pizza, actually the best tasting value so far in TH, came from Pizza Co, no longer available. SoHo Pizza (soi 11), Krung Thep, does an excellent version. Some of the best pasta dishes have been served up by Thai chefs, not Italians. Hot dogs (on topic as always), yet to find one as good as Hatfield's Beef Franks (old version), here in TH. Some very nice sausages available here though, as are our homemade sausages. Yet to have a foreign (non Thai) chef, prepare their national dishes, better than I can at home. I don't do hi-end restaurants, and have rarely paid more than 1000 baht for plate of food, so maybe you get what you pay for, but I'm not rolling the dice, as usually disappointed. I'll simply do it at home, better.

Don't know about 'travel for' ... but when O&A, I do make a point of indulging what I can't get at home, or haven't had in a while. Really looking forward to some beef massaman & roti, on next outing, as heading S to lower gulf provinces. I even refrain from eating some things at home, as I know I'll probably eat when O&A, if I can't find something different. KFC's wing zap, and spicy bologna being 2 things, I know I'll eventually eat on the road, so don't bother a week or 2 before heading out, if eat them at all at home, actually rare.

Probably at work, and can't get away. I think OP has too much time on his/her hands and didn't think that post through.

I can relate ... days past. Safer for everyone.

Phillie's Beef Franks (not available TH), would be my favorite. A Hatfield (edit) product, and very popular 'Ball Park' as 2nd choice. Though haven't had one in 20+ years, so if bought out by an international conglomerate, probably screwed with the recipe, as they did with all Scrapple, chocolate & ice cream offerings in the USA. Bucher frankfurters (hotdogs) are quite good, and excellent value, though made with chicken, if that matter, more so than pork, though taste the same before they changed the ingredients. Reading the ingredients a while back, and that was a surprising change.

Pita Cleared In First Round Of Polling Agency Enquiry Over ITV Shares

Not my opinion, it's the rules, and people should learn to follow, or pay the consequences. I'm sure if it was an candidate that you didn't like, and they had shares, you'd be crying if the rule wasn't enforced. Have a nice day ... Bye Bye -
That would depend on one's mood at the moment. If wanting lobster ... but worked your 8-12 hours, just got home and no desire to go back out. Then a nice lobster munch on the veranda while the sun is setting at your home with all the comforts of, and no hassle of 'going out', then hell yea, delivery works. By the time it arrives, you're fresh out of the shower, with partner in robes ready to relax over some tails, before getting some tail. And no need to overpay for wine at the restaurant, or worry about Q, or poor seating, distracting diners. What's not to love ❤️

How much monthly salary should you pay for rescuing a bar girl?
KhunLA replied to Goat's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
With her ability to own land, we .... we made enough of the previous 2 sales of house & lots, that the present house, solar & EV, were all from profits made from those 2 sales, and only because of her. 3M+ baht saved, so her contribution was as much, or more than mine. As first house I paid for, only cost 800k. She sold it for 1.4M, after doing much of the touch up to make it marketable. She rolled that profit into 2nd house & land, with my contribution. Sold them, and repaid me, per se, then used profits for our present home & car. Without her, our oops fund, wouldn't look nearly as nice. I / we, actually have much more liquid assets than I came here with, and saving more everyday because she is in my life. Immeasurable contribution ... IMHO -

Irrelevant as the rule is, you can NOT own any shares, and says nothing about a controlling interest. Time, money & votes wasted on someone who can easily be disqualified from even holding his/her MP position. Not sure I'd want somebody that irresponsible heading the govt ... IMHO -
You would easily fit in our MG ZS, as I have heaps of headroom. Legs, not so sure, though I can stretch out completely, @ 175cm/5'9". Same price as comparable ICEVs, and a great value, IMHO. I thought there was plenty of headroom in the MG EP also, though it does sit a bit lower. My back isn't as flexible as most, so if I'm comfy getting in/out, nobody else should have much of an issue.
