  1. GW or MMCC ... sorry, not buying it. Damn chilly last night, and all we had was the fan on. If this is GW, long may it last. ,,, CC, yea, it's the weather, it does that. Seas Rising ... that's funny. as we could walk over to the islands out in the bay, and only noticed that being possible the last few years. I believe what my eyes see and my body feels, not what people tell me, so they can extort / tax, more of my money in the guise of saving me & the planet. Yet, they've done absolutely nothing ... IMHO
  2. I guess you didn't read all the way down to the bottom of the poll ...
  3. None with me, just happen to have a USA PP. When shopping, peek at name brands products from TH & CH first, and buy from the manufacturers of. Better research = better shopping satisfaction MG (SAIC) DECO Sony Electrolux Deye SunTech Xiaomi Mitsubishi
  4. Thankfully ... if it was, I wouldn't even consider it ...
  5. Tasty, moist, and not overly sweet, as no sugar, just honey as sweetener. I did NOT top with as much honey syrup as in the recipe, maybe 1/4 of, as brushed on & coated it fine. Thought using all of it would be overkill.
  6. "The Chinese automotive assault on Fortress Europe has shifted to the next level with MG’s category win in the German Car of the Year (GCOTY) awards."
  7. Don't know about that, though probably healthier than many things. Have to peek at the ingredients next O&A.
  8. Interesting poll, in that there might actually be 50 or so members of AN that actually live in TH. I guess we'll all be scrambling to the TRD when reports of fines are issued for not filing a tax return, whether tax due or not ...
  9. If he stops posted BS on EV in TH thread, may start reading his post. VW can't be trusted, whether one of largest auto makers or not.
  10. I guess he shouldn't have had to dish out £300 for a pair of tires, or asked for a refund ... 😎
  11. One would expect heavier, better performance vehicles to go through tires a bit faster. A bit of common sense. But for a tire to need replacement at 10k kms. Not buying it ... or certainly wouldn't. If true, not surprised it's on a VW, as one of the least trustworthy manufactures out there.
  12. Peeked at the link, and hard to believe at all. So at 10k kms mark, check up? and told to replace tires. His new car a 80 yrs old, and will now think hard before buying another EV in the future. Too funny and people believe this crap. Mine have 27k kms on them, rotated twice already, I think, or at least once, and don't expected to change for quite some time. No sooner than 50k kms, that's for sure. If he stays posting his crap on ICE vs EV thread, I might give him another reprieve from ignore list.
  13. Freedom of Speech / Expression is a beautiful thing ... ... All Hail Elon 😎
  14. You've never worked in restaurant ... roaches are a fact of life, even in the most posh venues. Bluport probably has less, since newer build, and less vendors. Frequent both often, Bluport more due to Gourmet Markets and 'You Hunt, We Cook' as one of the best, reasonably priced 'beef steak' vendors. Decent 'Mexican / wrap' vendor also, along with sweet tooth fixes.
  15. To the title .. ... they / we don't. We're incidental, irrelevant, tolerated as tourist, even less so as expats. No different than citizens, as simply tolerated to serve and provide services and tax revenue to the elite in control. To not realize those facts is simply ignorance on your part. You're simply a clog in a well oiled machine. Why do you think the retirement ages closely correspond with life expectancies. So you don't waste too many of their resources afterwards. Sooner you wake up to the facts, the more smiles you'll have
  16. Not surprised at all, or that more than 2X as many died after the first year vaccines available, and almost 2X died the 2nd year they were available. Does make one wonder about the 'safe & effective' claims ... IMHO Tells me, not getting the vaccine was a good idea, though I had that opinion before the numbers pointed out, my thoughts were correct. Glad I heeded the warnings I saw and read stating to avoid the vaccine and explained why .. IMHO
  17. We've done that, asked first of course, and visa versa, told people to sit, when obviously looking and can't find a spot. Only 2 of us, usually, and most are tables for 4 or more.
  18. If it's not registered, tagged, insured, issued a placard to display, you can't legally drive it on public roads. Enforcement will be up to the discretion of the officer who sees and or stops you. A golf cart, would be pushing it, and hard for them not to stop you, unless a small town. And I wouldn't be riding in rush hour. Actually where I live, they do turn a blind eye to most unregistered electric vehicles; stand up scooter, ebikes, mini scooter (with or without pedals), full size MB/scooter (though would get cited if noticed), 3 & 4 wheel mobility scooters. Haven't noticed a golf cart on the roads yet. Very lax enforcement and I see quite a lot, though none, doing anything stupid.
  19. 5 days is not enough, unless you only plan on staying at 1 location. Popular spots being: Ao Nang/Railay, Lanta, Phi Phi. When traveling ? As PP requires ferry ride as does the short hop from Ao Nang to Railay. Have you actually looked at a map, and what activities do you plan on doing, again, when will make a difference. Where are you coming from, and or will you be self driving to, or when there ?
