Chicken Rice Vendor Saves Italian Tourist with CPR
KhunLA replied to Georgealbert's topic in Phuket News
That's the advice I gave my mother, as hated my father, (mutual feeling with her & siblings) and didn't want him to be a burden on her, when the eventual oops happened. "If he ever keels over, just leave him be, go in the other room, have a coffee, and enjoy the thoughts of your future freedom without him." That's exactly what she did, as he suffered a stroke at night, and called me the next day, bright & early OK, 8 ish hours later, time to report it. One of those fake 'surrounded by loving family, as he passed in his sleep' moments -
Good fortune: PM Paetongtarn’s assets exceed 13 billion baht
KhunLA replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Daddy didn't need to empty the treasury. Though him & cronies did make it impossible for Shin Corp to have competition. Remember when it cost 12 baht to call Bangkok from upcountry, and 38 baht to call the UK, 18 to call USA. That's why. Also why those fiber optic lines were never utilizes, that were available the whole time, competition was restricted. When the Shin satellite was sold, and competition restrictions expired, the price of phone calls in country, dropped to <1 baht & 4 baht for overseas. Internet 'ISP' cost also plummeted. When there's no competition you get to charge and make as much money as you want. And if you paid attention, you made a sh!t load of money, or wife did, when the rights were auctioned off to the communication companies and their stocks popped when they won the bidding on contracts. Tax free to top it off. Again ... work smarter, not harder. Instead of complaining about the 'system', learn and use the system to 'your' advantage. How do you distract the voters and stay in power, give them what they deserve ... FREE HEALTHCARE Win win for everyone -
Chicken Rice Vendor Saves Italian Tourist with CPR

Since CPR was applied, his heart didn't stop for 15 minutes. I believe it's something like 5+ minutes and if no blood circulation, then chance of survival goes down or have some type of brain damage, do to lack of oxygen. And a quick Google, before hitting that submit button ... -
Building a house in Thailand
KhunLA replied to capin's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
Agree with above, OneMoreFarang. Buy the land if good deal, and you have the liquid cash, but do rent here for a year or so, and see if TH is for you. Especially living in the North of TH, as air pollution can be horrendous 4-6 months of the year. Will also give you time to research the RE market, and consider all options. Rural living full time isn't for everyone either, as can get very old, very fast. It suits me, living in a small village with closest neighbor 125m away, but I'm also 5-10 minutes away from everything I need, major chains for shopping and restaurants. 40 kms out of town, is a bit different, location dependent. -

Work smarter, not harder Don't forget, Mommy & Daddy sold Shin Corp for ฿73B, so plenty of money to spread around. -
I would love to give, or not. But I gave all my extra money to the "Go Fund Me", for Russian soldier that had a motorcycle and medical oops here. He was anxious to get back to the front lines, and I couldn't think of a better use for my extra cash. Doesn't Zelensky have a few billion stashed from all the countries sending aid money. Surely he could pitch in a few rubles

COVID Vaccines Could INTEGRATE with Human DNA: Yale Research
KhunLA replied to Red Phoenix's topic in Covid/Vaccine
I'll see your big pharma propaganda ... raise and call.. ... with real news Found in both Pfizer & Moderna ... Here's another with disturbing info ... which I'm probably not allowed to link. Simply Google one of the quoted statements below, if interested in the info. IMHO and IMHO only, I believe the potential harm. And ... Medicinal Genomics is partly funded by NIH & Department of Energy: Funded researchers in the United States as part of the Human Genome Project. A lot of 'geno' interests ... really, gene therapy was the furthest thing from their mind. ... "Kevin McKernan, founder of Medicinal Genomics, described the findings as a “bombshell,” and warned that DNA fragments might overstimulate the immune system, potentially “fueling cancer growth.”... ... "World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines state that a single vaccine dose should not contain more than 10 nanograms of residual DNA. The study, however, found levels in Pfizer’s vaccines exceeding this limit by six to 470 times." Safe & Effective ... -

And you don't spray oil on the food you are air frying ? If not, they cook unevenly, and dry out. Along with any seasonings don't stick very well to the food. Not many things go in the air fryer that don't get a bit of oil on it, at our house, or that hasn't been marinated, which sometimes contains oil also. Not that we use the air fryer that much, just for some protein, if feeling lazy. Our cast iron pans get the most use, and they are basically non stick. Though do add a bit of oil, tallow or butter, for even heating and or flavor. And if oil, usually Canola, as healthier on the liver than olive oil or ghee/butter. Vid link above, verifying the health benefits. Enjoy which ever ... HAPPY MUNCHIN

I have also, well, Udon Thani - Phuket, and non overnight a couple times, but wouldn't recommend it. Even PKK - Phuket, and that's only 8 ish hours. Or, would I want to be on Phuket for 5 days during high season ... With 'gusto' ... could get expensive now of days, as that's a lot of speed cameras on the way.

American on Dirt Bike Kills Thai Woman Crossing Road in Chiang Mai
KhunLA replied to Georgealbert's topic in Chiang Mai News
I guess you didn't read my reply ... where are the headlight & turning signals ? -
Can't remember the last time I ate actual 'street' food. Prepped food from fresh market, but always nuked when getting back home to eat. Only things I'll eat on the fly, are bbq, fresh of the grill, fruit peeled & cut in front of me, or pre package pastry, and nothing that's been setting out exposed to dirt/exhaust/flies. Using that uncommon common sense, never an issue when eating

That wasn't shown in the OP, and I don't care that much about some dude running over someone who doesn't know how to crass the street safely, to search out news-blips about. Digesting after my brekkie, or wouldn't even bother replying to comments. OK, took a peek at the KhaoSod blip, and notice it is registered & insured ... but ... is that for trail or street, as I don't the the required turning signals, or headlights, for it to be street legal. -

Unless modified for street use, and registered, they are illegal here to drive on the street. Edit ... you may be correct, and it was street legal, as someone else, with more time on his hands has pointed out. -

Don't want to go off topic, but that's strange, as placed pipe bombs at both Rep & Dem locations. Screams 'red flag' to me -

You can't blame things on the police for non enforcement. If people obeyed the laws, you wouldn't even need police. Not in our world or lifetime. You'll never fix stupid, and enforcement may or may not help. Take away the scooter deaths here, and driving here is about as safe or dangerous as driving in the USA, and there's plenty of enforcement there. People driving where they shouldn't be, or people not looking before crossing the street, or at a dangerous spot to cross. PoPo can't be everywhere all the time, and if they are, don't seem to make a difference anyway. He violated the law, he'll pay a price for that. Don't want to victim blame, but I find it amazing how many people make the news by getting run over here. Having the right of way, doesn't excuse not being cautious when crossing the street. -

If that's their largest cache, either they're doing a really good job, or they really suck at it. Hopefully the former, as not a whole lot of pipe bomb incidents in the news.
