  1. Normally you would expect the other drivers insurance to pay out third party injuries. However in Thailand it seems to be very normal for the 'other party' to simply do a runner - at which point the liability for treatment seems to transfer from the person who caused the accident to the victim of the accident. This is a major flaw in the way things are done in this dump.
  2. There they go wielding their tousirm weapon again. All that boot licking pays off I guess.
  3. It says 'most' which means that the vast majority of them suffer from organ damage - not a very small number of them.
  4. It does seem a little odd doesn't it. I haven't used a credit card in years although I have both a debit and credit card I can tell you one thing for sure - I certainly wouldn't be carrying my passport to make a purchase. Never, ever going to happen.
  5. Better to just pay the small amount than wait for weeks. Be thankful you have the option.
  6. 90 day report - surely there's no escaping that - because if there is then it's a waste of time for anyone to do them, ever.
  7. 14 Million Baht, I don't think so. If it was real then maybe but this garbage is worth nothing.
  8. Not surprising, if they email them to me - I click them = no emails, no clicks. I was emailed about this post, presumably because I'm subscribed to whatever sub forum this is.
  9. Your next stop is back to immigration to attempt to get them to do their job.
  10. I don't know but I know they all fired a large percentage of their workforce. They didn't do that because people are using facebook less, or did they?
  11. Advertising is down across the board, if you somehow think this is driven by petty squabbles about Elon Musk outside of a couple of activist companies then you are deluded. What decisions?
  12. Yes, I use BUPA Global, just get in touch with them directly. When I first took out my policy with them before they renamed from 'BUPA International' some 12 or 3 years ago I phoned them in the UK to arrange cover. They also accept monthly payment by credit/debit card so you don't have to stump up the whole years worth of payment in one go and I don't believe they charge extra for that.
  13. Just try and stop another country from issuing a passport to a Thai citizen - they will only care about their law, Thai law doesn't come into it so they can have as many passports as they want. What are they going to do about it?
  14. Yes, they do. That's exactly how unjust and unenforced old laws get changed / removed.
  15. You have to ask the question - were all the Thais arrested or just given a ticket which would be the usual procedure? Special harsh rules for foreigners.....
  16. Indeed, contrary to popular belief some visas take a huge amount of time to obtain based on what I've heard. The more backward and third world the country the longer the process....
  17. For their own citizens maybe but it's pretty much unenforcable.
  18. I would avoid bus stations.
  19. He (President Biden) might as well provide the missiles himself if he did that - there's a reason he's not doing that - they won't get involved to that level. Nothing of the sort will happen.
  20. Get a taxi, then there will be an almost zero chance of being stopped.
  21. You can never give enough to Ukraine no matter how much you give, only this week he was in various European countries begging for fighter jets. What's next? He's already demanded that the exact conditions for a large scale war between multiple countries be enacted to save his corrupt country - the so called 'no fly zone'. At some point you have to say no and be done with it - then you get added onto a 'kill list'. Best to stay uninvolved and give them nothing. Elon Musk doesn't want to provide what amounts to missile guidance systems for their drones - that would be something for the US Government to do - but they won't, will they - have to ask - why is that and why should Elon Musk do it?
  22. Wrong, I think. Accident cover likely has little to do with licensing but that would be down to the policy. Remember we're not talking about vehicle insurance here - that would require a valid license.
  23. Did she get her money back yet? If not then I would like to know why and who stole it
