  1. If you want to dig deeper, I like this site (example Bangkok): https://www.timeanddate.com/sun/thailand/bangkok From your diagram it's quite sure that the west (south west) side will heat up the most.
  2. Thailand is 1600 km north to south. So some significant variation. Generally the hottest side is to the west with afternoon sun. To the north there is the smallest amount of sunshine. The further north you are the less sun from the north. Of course sun light intensity and direction during the day varies over the year. Least variation in the deep south closer to equator. Most variation in the top north close to the northern tropic (of cancer).
  3. Unlimited speed AND unlimited volume for such price? No. Unlimited volume and a throttled speed like 10 to 30 Mbit/s? Yes. Unlimited calls within network? Don't know. I have 60 min/month to all networks AIS usually has a volume limit at such prices like 100 GB/month. Three operators and plenty of options at less than 2000 per year.
  4. You are writing about a different matter. Letter confirming account owner, account type and current balance ("bank letter"). But the other poster has to do the monthly transfer > 65k from abroad and needs a statement of transactions for the whole year to proof his transfers
  5. You were faster. I got this information first hand from a visa agent in Pattaya. It's about shady 800k extensions. So the story from the OP might be related. Otherwise you are free to choose the bank.
  6. Wrong addressee I am not interested in used laptops. But I can comprehend the OPs interest. What a waste these devices are. Four years old? Come on, to the bin. Only 2 GHz? Creeping. I started my professional career with 8085, 8086 Sounds like a tale from History Channel.
  7. No sign: allowed by the rules. Sign: it can either be a not allowed/wait sign or an explicit allow sign (rare). Both usually in Thai and same blue/white color. As an add-on/"courtesy" to foreigner there are forbidden signs in English with a red arrow in certain areas like Pattaya. All clear now? For years it was big fun/cash machine on Pattaya 2nd rd / Central. There was a forbidden sign in Thai language only. Cops waiting around the corner. Now sign in English spoils all the fun The only legal pass through on red that I know is at big wide T-sections with multiple lanes where you can go through on the left only. But there are clear explicit signs.
  8. Yes, and it's also in English on Khaosod. https://www.facebook.com/KhaosodEnglish/posts/pfbid0zx9KbSKrLEC8K8PXDLDgv1iejnSJji8coWdqv83n1DVVAk9p9LEqBbmfjMJmxkvol I would not want to look Nigerian on Phuket now
  9. Ditch! As I did. For me at age 65 cheapest I have seen was around 50000 Baht. Just seen some 98000 Baht.
  10. It's a while that I looked after such products but in the past at Tukcom they had plenty of used laptops. Have you checked already?
  11. Hope the exchange rate won't be a short flash in the pan. Italy tumbling again after Mr Goldman Euro quit.
  12. Seems the situation has changed. At the start of the vaccination campaigns Moderna was strictly for private hospitals and had to be paid for. I got it in Khon Kaen organized by THG private hospital group. Good to know it has changed. Still I will wait with another shot.
  13. All due respect Nabbiex but why are you paying for Covid shots? I But Moderna was never free. And at the time I got it, it was considered most efficient. I am not up to a fourth shot considering the low risk by another infection
  14. Basically unchanged from the ongoing campaign. Royal Garden Plaza on beach rd. Organized by Pattaya city hospital. Every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 11 AM to 3 PM. Latest FB post still shows ending on July 31st. meaning 29th would be latest.
  15. Fortunately I am out but see my post. Watch it or not but you pay for. Different from private pay TV. Maybe singular to Germanys blown up public TV
  16. Fully agree. German public TV being paid by forced fees (tax like) can't get enough of it. Must be ideologically driven by the "woke reeducation department" Recently, July 14: Tour de France cycling, Alpe d’Huez stage, the top cycling event of the year. Just after the top cyclists passed: cut and switch over to women football Italy - Island in German TV!!
  17. That is first source of error. Weighing the fresh products. One wrong digit and apples turn to oranges. There is no way around checking yourself. And I have a little suspicion that the problem from the OP is of the same nature.
  18. Sure? Changed? I remember Bangkok Bank, Kasikorn and SCB. Bangkok Bank 100%, last transfer July 4. Sending 2k Euro giving some 7x k Baht. All in my name.
  19. Couldn't you wait until you finally have the one year extension (about three months after exempt entry) without touching the "old" Bangkok Bank account? Yesterday I applied at Khon Kaen for the Non-O after having done Non-OA extensions for years (border run two days before). I used the same account lying since many years and no questions asked.
  20. Initially I didn't want to respond to this one millionth "can you live on..." thread, but if I read this in the OP: it is clear to me that this thread is better in fun/pub/troll forums. Groceries from the "imported food" section only. Bars in the 150+ range for a beer. Massage special and so on. Sure one can not "live" on 50k then.
  21. Passed through at Nong Khai last Sunday and filled a TM6 before even asking (like all others around, had to lend my pen ). Good to know that they inquired you to fill out. So there is no permanent "abolishing" of TM6. That's in line with the news about it. Temporary suspended to ease handling at the airports.
  22. That happens when I don't leave the country for years
  23. At the land border procedure as usual. And it's hardly a "card" anymore. What you keep is a thin paper slip about 9 by 8 cm. On the back you find a copy of the entry stamp. At KK immigration a copy was asked for. No idea what happens without.
  24. After having the new visa in August, I will go for one year extension (business as usual) sometime in October.
  25. Did today at KK immigration. Short summary. Sunday 17 July: Drive with my car up to Nong Khai and park there. Leave Thailand without re-entry permit (cost some persuading three immigration officers). So cancelled the tiresome Non O-A visa status. I had remaining extension until October but with all the talk and rising excitement about Covid wave I decided not to waste any time (was unable to do something in 2020/2021 due to border closures). Enter Laos for a 2 hour excursion. I am visa exempt, so can not contribute about visa on arrival cost/procedure. Leave Laos, back to Thailand. Again rising eyebrow about no re-entry but convinced the officer I want 30 day exempt stamp. Monday 18 July Off to Bangkok Bank getting bank letter for fixed deposit account (>800k since ages) Today 19 July Off to Khon Kaen immigration applying for Non O visa retirement. The heaviest copy orgy ever experienced Two sets with estimated 40 sheets of copies (bankbook completely incl empty pages, passport "only" to last non empty, yellow book, pink card, departure card...). Even though I had 2x copied what I was aware of I needed three runs to the copier. Ran out of small change. Near 40 signatures on copies. The lady officer double and triple checked before completing for the boss (division head). Finally paid 2000 Baht and the receipt was stamped with an under consideration stamp. Must come back Aug 12. As a free add-on I got a proper TM 30 based on my "yellow housebook" and "pink card". Never had an appropriate TM 30 in more than 10 years. I think I sat more than one hour!
