  1. Can't find more currently. Bangkok both airports. The good thing is the number of flights daily.
  2. Yes, expect the worst: https://www.thaipbsworld.com/service-fees-for-household-and-small-business-electricity-use-to-be-cut-jan-apr/ The "cut" is a funny distraction. Some xx Baht/month in service fee reduction. What a joke compared to the massive Ft rise planned. Exploding LNG prices are behind. Europe particularly Germany buys for about every price after the Russian supply is dead and done.
  3. Love these gala uniform galleries on the government websites. Instagram filter girls are a laughing matter compared.
  4. And dark on the horizon: energy saving measures due to exploding LNG prices. One measure thought of: early closing hours for shopping, entertainment etc. Do I see a conflict?
  5. Today a symbolic birthday of the 8th billion. Congratulations and quickly sweep THE no. 1 problem under the carpet. Heaven help if they would all try to consume as much materials, energy, water ... like the "first world" countries. Electric planes: without a miracle jump in battery technology just a toy. A battery for a long haul passenger jet would weigh hundreds of tons. Energy content of kerosine is xx times more than same weight in LiIon battery. (try to find the correct number, remember something of about 70 times)
  6. What also does not fit the usual scheme: he is obviously very sick and can't move without a wheelchair?
  7. A Golden or similar, dangerous animals. They can lick you to death Unusual for a criminals who prefer attack dogs that are the first killed by SWAT teams (common practice in Germany).
  8. Multiple videos on Twitter. Big fireball and dark clouds of smoke. That went terribly wrong. Pilot of small plane seemed to have no clue what was happening below his plane. Hit like a kamikaze.
  9. Sure. The stuff will be in checked baggage which makes it important that it does not leak. I will improvise with some cooler bags from friendship (69 and 100 Baht).
  10. Unfortunately too late and at hotel. Thanks anyway. Will have to improvise and hope the flight does not have x hours delay like seems to become the new normal. Found some miniature cooling packs at Friendship. Not worth the money.
  11. For a test you could start with one month 30 Mbit/s SIM. Cost about 250 Baht (DTAC) and available at many shops (no need to buy online).
  12. Do you want this for a longer period up to a year e.g.? There have been some threads about SIM cards for internet speeds like 30 Mbit/s without(!) throttling. Cost about 1600 to 2000 Baht/year. Other offers are high speed 100 Mbit/s but with throttling after like 100 or 60 GB/month. Many other variants available. Usually to be ordered online. SIM routers or "pocket WiFi" are easily available at shops (Tukcom e.g.). Pocket WiFi is compact battery powered so you can take it with you. A bit out of fashion.
  13. Don't you think this obvious error hasn't been discussed enough? Who made up? Ever thought about Thai news writers and their problem with numbers/magnitudes etc.? Little translation hickup? Oil trucks with thousands of tons and the like?
  14. Indians Indians Indians... Busloads arriving in Pattaya and they are everywhere Russians are strong in Phuket with nonstop flights. But also surprisingly many arrivals from China. Mates from Germany sat in packed planes at last weekend. Yesterday I had my first Chinese group experience since years in a 7/11 in Pattaya ????
  15. More plausible: "During this time there are up to 3,000 passengers arriving at the airport per hour. " More like 25 flights in an hour?
  16. And these avarage numbers seem to bring the airport at its limit? Or why are domestic(!) flights delayed up to more than two hours! Is it just the incompetence of this Thai* airline serving from Suvarnabhumi? ????
  17. Sounds like things have eased: "Thai citizens can enter neighboring Laos without a visa for up to 30 days. " https://www.visalaos.com/visa-requirements/thai-citizens/
  18. Maybe someone is up-to-date with the rules for Thai people using passport or ID card (with some 3? day pass)? All I know is that procedures for passport are different from using ID card. For a weekend and refraining to Vientiane the ID card might suffice.
  19. But Bangkok not worth for Biden. Will be in Cambodia for some reason (see news post).
  20. I want ice gel packs to transport some food stuff in the suitcase on a domestic trip. Anyone has an idea where to look for in Pattaya?
  21. Could come close to the mentioned 20%. Don't want to get bashed for comparing with other countries (price in Thailand equals about 13 Euro Cent per unit).
  22. One simple fact is the "38" that you have cited. Baht weakened against the Dollar which still is the reference for energy prices. Globally: have you noticed the terrible energy crisis in Germany which buys LNG for about any price? LNG is an important factor for Thai energy prices. And as mentioned above: energy prices in Thailand are not a free unregulated market. Subsidies on one side, extra tax on the other. Gasoline consumers paying for the diesel subsidies (part of).
  23. It never hurts to have sufficient funds ????
  24. No problem. What makes the event exceptionally rare is that it falls on Loy Krathong. https://aseannow.com/topic/1276941-total-lunar-eclipse-on-loy-krathong-night-on-november-8th/ https://aseannow.com/topic/1276566-lunar-eclipse-will-occur-on-loy-krathong-night-in-thailand/
