  1. Even in our district town upcountry I walked to a booth were misc DTAC packages were offered. Got a 1 month 15 Mbit with 60 min call to all networks. Paid 260 Baht registration included. After the month for test I ordered a one year for 1390. Two mates in Pattaya tukcom same easy. It's not rocket science. I am writing from experience while you endulge yourself in speculation. I am off here. Don't expect any answer.
  2. The thread is about flight prices, thanks.
  3. Agree. And as written about every phone booth can you offer a SIM with speeds 8 to 30 Mbit/s for 150 to about 350 plus a few Baht extra. At DTAC it also includes 60 min free calls to all Thai mobile networks per month.
  4. A niece is coming to visit the family after many years Berlin - Doha - Bangkok return eco (Qatar Airways). 1700 Euro! About double the price before COVID. Summer school holiday season. Chaotic situation at the airports.
  5. Until last week. It's still 2 way and a complete mess in the evening. Walking is unreasonable, most risky way of moving around. You are safer on a scooter than walking.
  6. A good one. Quiet in a short dead end Soi. Roof top pool is big enough for me but not for the Olympics. And I have seen them rising prices. Not sure whether they fit a 1000 Baht budget.
  7. Went with a mate to Tukcom Pattaya. He got an AIS SIM with 15 Mbit/s (fully sufficient for usual mobile use, messenger, social media, youtube, FB, insta etc.). Cost 450 Baht for 30 days if I remember right all incl. Tons of other options from DTAC with speeds from 10 to 30 Mbit/s WITHOUT volume limit. (AIS usually has) Prices about 150 B to 300 B for 30 days (plus cost for SIM and service/registration). Be aware that the 30 days start with the registration (if you would do in your name ahead of arrival). Best would be wait until they are here. About every mobile phone booth can help.
  8. Don't let Honda hear this. And my memory served me wrong, they don't advertise 67 km/l but 76.9!
  9. The latest ads for the Wave say 67 km/l (157 mil/gallon, 0.67 l/100 km). For moto taxi and couriers this is an important number. Not for the average shopping rides.
  10. 95 E10 ("Gasohol 95") is available everywhere. Use this and done.
  11. Best fuel economy? Compression ratio is 10:1, so unlikely that 95 brings an advantage over 91. On the other hand small (village) pumps don't have 91 anymore. Price difference is marginal.
  12. The latest models accept 91 E10, 95 E10 and 95 E20.
  13. Correct and nationwide. Description seems somewhat wrong. 13 and 14 are the holidays incl alcohol prohibited and bar closures. 15 is the extra holiday donated by Mr. P.
  14. And then? The bank buys your currency. What 99% of >arriving< tourists intend to do. Typical exchange booths don't even show a sell rate.
  15. Read some predictions that the oil price may sink further. The reason is not that pleasing: economic downturn in many parts of the world, less demand.
  16. the investigation is ongoing... Our Chinese friends try hard to make it vanish from memory. Cover the truth has highest priority.
  17. Before Covid there were other booths with competitive rates. Don't know the current situation.
  18. A legit question. On the other hand over the years and from test to test you learn to read the major values (blood/liver/kidney related e.g.). Of course the private hospitals offer full packages with consultation. I was satisfied with Memorial Hospital which included included an ultrasound of the abdomen incl prostate and bladder measurements.
  19. I have deleted the quoted text. Mixed up with another clinic on 3rd rd. But as written I was at the place you linked with Google maps.
  20. Was there last year for antigen test and some male special. Same day pickup.
  21. Now we know what Google says Don't use that toll motorway which is a short part of the nearly 300 km. 5 hours sounds realistic (maybe less). Of course depending on the ferry times (assuming you want to take your car to the island). And be aware of the excessive five day long weekend July 13 to 17. Expect hell of traffic and overrun island.
  22. Easy, Soi Post (13/2) off beach/2nd rd. Next to "Corona bar" (in Germany for some reason they use generic term "Corona" instead of the better term "Covid 19")
  23. And the old story still unchanged. Maximum rip-off at the airport next day:
