  1. Should apply to the whole event. These dinosaur meetings cause chaos and high cost. And for the plebs these holidays are meaningless and the event a burden.
  2. But for a 50 gr. jar. Many creams are sold in tubes down to 5 gr.
  3. Maybe used to Thai prices where a small tube of some GPO stuff is 30 Baht?
  4. Amazing how often they (Bangkok Bank and SCB) throw new terms and conditions. And they simply spit the whole zillion pages without any change log/what's new. Unthinkable at my home country bank. Oh! And scrolling down is not OK. You have to read from start to end ????????
  5. I read that some offices have a foreigner contingent. First come, first serve? Up here it doesn't matter. Nothing special for foreigners in English.
  6. Was it in the news? https://www.nationthailand.com/thailand/general/40020696
  7. A local produced alternative: GRAMMIXIN But does not look overly cheap, saw 85 Baht for 10 gr.
  8. You snapped my question
  9. That's what such appeals are for: https://aseannow.com/topic/1273762-commerce-ministry-urges-stores-and-wholesalers-to-keep-adequate-stock-of-items-amid-floods/
  10. Wrong from start to end. You want to rely on mobile gadgets and internet? Maybe you should check with your home country disaster plans/offices? Batteries and radio on every list.
  11. https://www.bulsuk.com/2012/05/angry-birds-gets-with-kasikorn-bank.html Completely silly. I am old fashioned and puzzled by banks doing such gimmicks. (my last Bangkok bank book had cartoon figures on the cover)
  12. I remember a prophet (was it Mr P.?) some months(!) ago that there will be no 2011 again. In 2011 they narrowly saved Suvarnabhumi from flooding with all powers available (while Don Mueang was a lake already).
  13. I have seen decaf from BonCafe at our MAKRO. Near double the price of other Arabica. And one of the few things that has improved at Lotus's after the takeover is a wider choice of real coffee. Can swear I have seen at our small Lotus mall.
  14. Seems BoT can't stop the Baht slide. One reason behind ? Even Euro increased.
  15. Still showing. Hope they will have a good explanation for that.
  16. 120000 Baht gold necklace? I don't walk with such cheapish stuff ????
  17. The video has sound and I am afraid he did nothing, neither honk (which he should have done!) nor break at first. I bet he realized that the bike would come over. And then? Being surprised that the bike slowed down? There is a U-turn! All U-turns are clearly announced with a sign. Complete sleepy and careless fool and not "good driving".
  18. Or another lost in translation after thinking about it ????
  19. About 11 sec into the video: About 14(!) sec into the video: If that is good driving, heaven help!!!
  20. Absolute sleeper. And there is no good driving but just an emergency breaking resulting in loss of control. Nothing but luck that the other motorcycle rider was not thrown off. From between 10 and 11 sec into the video it was clear that the motorcycle rider would not stick to the left lane but cross. About 3 sec(!) later the pickup nearly hit the motorcycle. Amazing silence: I know it's "forbidden" to honk but here it would have been absolutely necessary!!!
  21. "at night all cats are grey" I would not judge from such photos
  22. Quite a bit south on Jomtien beach rd. https://goo.gl/maps/SRVLRqcqhtZwRmc27 Do you know the T-section with Soi Bunkanchana (the traffic light)? 250 m further south. Have not frequented bars there. Only been there to see a member of the family clan working in the area selling coffee and things. Long given up, Covid killed the rest of the business. Very dependent on Russians. Lot of Cyrillic signs etc.
  23. As above. About 5 Baht now depending on consumption. 8 Baht is the usual way of hiding rental cost. Would not be surprised if they start to charge even more after the recent rise of government rate.
