Foreign Tourist Attacked by Hostile Youngsters in Pattaya
KhunBENQ replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
No reason to condemn the whole country because some hooligans in an infamous area/Soi attack foreigners. There are certain spots in Pattaya where I wouldn't walk in the dark. Soi Yensabai is an absolute hotspot to avoid. Has it been clear that these hooligans are Thais? Asking because a lot of trouble in the past by bike racers of middle east origin in this area. -

Passport Validity Requirements
KhunBENQ replied to lazygourmet's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Bumping this older thread while searching for a friend about passport validity and extension of stay. From the official source that airlines use (TIMATIC) it is clear that there is NO 6 month validity rule for entering Thailand. At least for the example that I used: From Germany to Thailand, Lufthansa non stop, arrival 15 Dec, stay 29 days, vacation, have return ticket, German national with normal German passport valid until 15 January. Check on your own with your travel itinerary. There might be variations if having stop overs or other factors? https://www.copaair.com/en-cr/timatic/ Query: (click on images for full size, "birthday" is arbitrary) Result: Now cutting short the passport validity shorter than the 29 days intended stay: -
Single re entry permit help
KhunBENQ replied to Binger's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
It's not too early. It's always valid until the end of your current extension. SO: first do your one year extension and after that apply for the re-entry permit (same visit). If your new extension ends in February 2024 the re-entry permit will be valid until then. -
This morning I fiddled on the mobile app and saw this "request" statement feature. I requested a statement starting from Nov 22. I got a single(!) PDF (page nr. for each month) protected with the usual birthday password. I expected a statement with more details than the meager one-liners in the bankbook. But it is quite the same like bankbook entries! (see example below). Question: if you order the one year statement at the branch (for visa extension e.g.), do you get a different form of statement with details for every transaction?

Another observation. When I open the post/edit field the font is appropriate. After saving it shrinks. Compare the two screenshots in the following post.

I had contributed in another thread on this topic. I doesn't affect me on the PC browsers as they all have working (text) zoom features. But the font on my Android mobile is so hard even with my latest +4 lenses. And zoom features of both Chrome and Brave don't work on AN.

I installed the PEA app and through this you have misc options to pay the bill. Bet that Kasikorn bank transfer is included. As I already paid I can not check/screenshot. ebill is yet another matter. It means you don't get the paper slip with the bill but only by email? MEA: I can't find how electronic payment for MEA works. Their app doesn't seem to offer? Just show the next payment location? PEA includes seven major banks:

Swiss Fugitive Arrested in Thailand on Drug Charges

You need to see a eye doctor. Those remarks of you and your brother in spirit are just plain ignorant. Of course I don't envy you walking in Dolce & Gabanna around the house. -
Swiss Fugitive Arrested in Thailand on Drug Charges

Wouldn't be sure. Some stupid rule forbids police to present people handcuffed. So they wrap something around to make it look "better" -
Since years I pay through the PEA app and use bank transfer. The bill is on the app one day after the paper slips are in the box. QR scam is a new trend not only here. Scam/spam mails now coming with not much more than a QR code. Some people can not control their curiosity. Seems it's used because currently virus scanners/protection SW does not look into QR codes. Never use SW that starts links from QR codes without confirmation.

Yes on the PC browser there is no problem. But on Android/Chrome it's more than inconvenient.

You might find this extreme at the other end. Screenshot from CNN. No zoom (100%). And at this site the zoom feature works!

It's not easy possible to show the difference/appearance with screenshots. So just for comparison. Chrome: Firefox:
