  1. Seen in Pattaya once or twice. These things are well known but never made a big trend compared to the Segways, Search for "UnicycleWheel" on FB and be surprised there is a specialized dealer in Bangkok. For many of the prices shown you can get two basic small 110 ccm motorbikes. Max speed 85 km/h (50 mph)!!! You must be insane to try this on public Thai roads.
  2. Are you asking for a regular/repeated transfer for cost of living? What amount(s) approx.?
  3. Today I thought how one could to escape the cold (but sunny) weather here. Phuket is not an option
  4. Return on 26th should be "normal" (9 to 11 hour ride). You must be fit to take such a trip within three days on a bus.
  5. Is that your kind of humor? It's not the US. Neither the full article nor the video show any violence. The fatty show mimicking a Thai boxer was good for a laugh. Not sure what Thai people felt when watching on TV.
  6. What I find confusing: nowhere can I find a clear statement that the volume (GB) is a MONTHLY limit. Did you find? Of course it would be a joke to pay 1399 Baht for 200 GB per year. But why can't they use clear wording? Still uncertain BUT it seems like the volume initially bought is indeed the total volume and if its used up you have to refill a package? If so, no thanks.
  7. Hopefully it will be compatible with LTE (4G) as 5G is far from having nationwide coverage? 5G only would be a killer. In the big Thai forum they say yes (3G, 4G, 5G).
  8. Name me a phone that can handle 1000 Mbps on mobile. (maybe a handful of highest end models?) 1000 Mbps is a purely theoretical limit, sitting alone at the mobile antenna at 3 AM in the morning. Name me a meaningful application for 1000 Mbps on a mobile with a display smaller than a postcard. Even highest quality Netflix requires no more than about 50 Mbps. Do you want me to calculate how quick 100 GB are gone at 1000 Mbps It's all marketing jingle. The offer though is great. Fortunately I have enough in the family who can register. Guess my foreigner ID will fail? Need a new SIM in May. The prices for regular AIS Net SIMs have risen sharply.
  9. Enjoy the warmth. That's in sight here, 10 C (50 F).
  10. Bloody cool this morning below 20 C. Strong cold winds during the night. Christmas is coming
  11. No it doesn't. Not even in Thailand. About 5 seconds to clear the intersection. The car clearly jumped the red light in high speed. Totally irresponsible. The headline is a "masterpiece" of confusion as if the motorcycle hit the taxi with high speed. The motorcycle rider was impatient and obviously inexperienced about the criminal driving here. Impact happened at one second in green.
  12. Used this 30 min ago: https://kbiz.kasikornbank.com/authen/ (language selection in the upper left corner) I use the app daily before breakfast. Nothing true what is said above. "KCyber" has been abolished and replaced by this KBiz months ago. I am surprised you have an account there and didn't get the message. I check my accounts daily The only bank so far that has abolish web based banking is SCB. Annoying.
  13. Three months in advance and I would surely avoid the trip.
  14. Seems quite a shortage of damsels in Chaiyaphum.
  15. No idea why people are so obsessed about the timing, wallet empty? I send EUR from my WISE account to Bangkok Bank with purpose long time stay in Thailand. Arrives next working day about 2 PM marked as FTT (foreign transfer). (if initiating early morning it arrives same day) I can sleep well with that. I know that "seconds" transfers are possible possible (with no FTT entry?). The real time consumer is transferring from my German account to WISE Belgian account. Banking of the 19th century style. Computers sleep on weekends.
  16. Kind of. Thai2English uses: "tâa aa-gàat-sà-yaan" (compare that with "THAAGRAD SAYAI" "agrad" makes no sense at all. Not even a silent "r" in Thai script. Call it garbage.

  18. I worked through his FB account and no one should think he was alone! It was more like expedition style with a couple of participants and organized by some tour expert company. BMW and Harleys among the group. There were a total of six cars accompanying (Jeep and the like). Broken axles, self repaired cars, Harley service in Switzerland for free etc. etc. Don't even think you can organize the bureaucratic (visa, vehicle/driving permits) and logistic stuff like a piece of cake. He described endless waiting at Chinese border, Kazakhstan easy in comparison. The return trip was each to his own. Motorcycles shipped. He himself flew back on Thai Airways from Frankfurt on Oct 25, on to Krabi next day.
  19. Drove at least a 100'000 km on E20. All PTT. Mazda 2, 1.4l from 2011. I need about 0.2 l/100 km more compared to gasohol 95. If price difference is less than 2 Baht I switch to 95. Enough power to loose sight in the mirror of the creepers starting from the traffic light.
  20. And there still is. Plenty of motorcycle taxis waiting.

Bring AI to the pickups. Drastic reduction of fatalities.
  22. There has been no word about U-Tapao in this and previous reports. "Pattaya" is just used as a trademark(!), misleading and surprising really.
  23. Regret every accident but I guess such happens about a hundred times a day over Thailand. 30 to 50 killed on motorcycles daily.
