Is walking through to Soi Buakhao open again?
-
Thais can hardly pronounce "myth" (trailing f). So you will just hear "midnight". Somewhat snobbish attitude by business owners to choose names that ordinary Thais can't pronounce. "EST" coke ????

Khon Kaen marriage extension
KhunBENQ replied to JCD's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I have put the scan in a separate topic in Thai language for now: https://aseannow.com/topic/1308266-checklist-of-supporting-documents-for-marriage-extension/ This is the first of three sheets I got. The other two are obviously just the original Thai version of the immigration order (explaining 40k, 400k, seasoning etc.). I will check this tomorrow and if it makes sense (new or different from what's known) will add it. I reduced the scan to 1280 x 1761 pixel and it looks readable. If necessary I have the full size 600 dpi scan (5100 x 7015 pixel). -
I put this in Thai language although visa related. For those interested you can (let) translate. I got this today at Khon Kaen immigration office asking for a checklist regarding one year extension based on marriage with Thai wife. It's dated 27. September 2023. Automatic translation of the title is: "List of supporting documents for applying for extension of stay in the Kingdom of Thailand In the case of requesting support for a Thai wife nationality" Click on image for full size or download.

Khon Kaen marriage extension
KhunBENQ replied to JCD's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Was at KK immigration this morning. One year extension with income statement. Documents prechecked by interns. 25 min wait. 10 min at the counter. Checklist marriage: I got two sheets in Thai language. They don't have it in English ???? When I am back home I will scan it and either publish here or send by PM. Translation is another matter. -

Of course it has to be kept as a secret. I call it a Miracle on 3rd rd that the guy could escape from his suite -
New Visa going to Europe
KhunBENQ replied to nana kid's topic in Visas and migration to other countries
Heavily misplaced thread and confusing. Why would Schengen rules care about visas for other countries? Or did I miss something? Why not simply state what your nationality is? -
Tropical Storm Koinu To Hit Thailand During Oct. 9-11

If the forecast is correct it would just touch north/northeast with it's peripheral. -
Tropical Storm Koinu To Hit Thailand During Oct. 9-11
KhunBENQ replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
October has always been one of the two rainiest months. No catastrophic change. November is a game of luck. The total rainfall so far is below normal for most areas. But also not a terrible drought like years before. -
Miraculous Escape: Dashcam Records Sedan's Near-Collision with Bus
KhunBENQ replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
No. The original article is in Thai with the details. The video has been uploaded 12 hours ago from now. And with the hordes of tabloids/reporters in Pattaya this would not have gone unnoticed in August. -

Many cheaper dash cams need manual setup of time/date. Often forgotten. -

Yes, even on the best road in broad light there is always at least one unpredictable idiot around. -

Why finding alien life in Universe is now 'only a matter of time'
KhunBENQ replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Astronomy is all "pure science" without any practical implications. Voyager1 travels for 46 years now and has reached a distance less than one light day (24 billion km; 15 billion mi). It will exhaust it's last bit of energy in two years or so. It's expected to travel 40000 years until passing another star which is 17.1 lights years from earth at a distance of 1.6 light years. And they are writing about primitive life 125 light years away. Until super warp is invented it's all a nice past time. -
Seems you don't have too much experience with online banking here? For domestic transfers I will see name and account number before confirming. And then it's credited in an instant. Invalid account number will result in an error message. In SEPA (Europe) one wrong digit and the money is gone. No name matching at all. The endless IBAN starts with a two character country code. Good luck if you sent money to "BG....................". Bulgaria. Won't be seen again. Popular destination for scammers.

Lazada has quite a choice of instant decaf. But as I have zero knowledge about prices I can't tell what is cheap. The local "Moccona Blue" was OK as a grounded coffee until it vanished from the shelves. Moccona Instant decaf 100gr 299 B.

I am happy with Hillkoff whole beans (Arabica, French roast). 260 B for 500 gr. In former times I bough Casino brand (BigC) grounded. Has about doubled over the years. Decaff seems an extra expensive thing here. More exotic than all the rest?

And the transfer was immediate? No more cancel option available at WISE? Hope for the best that the account number does not exist. In this case the money is stuck at some bank in Thailand and can be refunded. Expect a significant loss for fess and exchanges rates back etc. Can tell for the other case (number exists). But WISE website writes about "wrong person" not wrong account number. So maybe there is a plausibility check? Some 20 years ago I had this with a SWIFT transfer of 2000 Euro, lost 200. Guess it will not be THAT bad with WISE. https://wise.com/help/articles/2448406/i-got-my-recipients-bank-details-wrong?origin=related-article-2978032 https://wise.com/help/articles/2932667/i-spelt-my-recipients-name-wrong?origin=related-article-2978032 https://wise.com/help/articles/2978032/i-sent-money-to-the-wrong-person
