webfact Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Man arrested at Bangkok condo, 6kgs of ‘ice’ and 54,000 meth pills seized By The Nation BANGKOK: -- Police arrested a man at a condominium in Bangkok’s Khan Nayao district on Monday evening and seized six kilograms of crystal meth and 54,000 methamphetamine pills. The arrest of Pirapol Thaewthub, 25, was announced at a press conference at Khok Kram Police Station on Tuesday morning. Colonel Sarayut Junnawat, Khok Kram police chief, said Pirapol was arrested after his station received a tip-off that a drug peddler was operating at the Lumpini Ram Indra-Navami Condominium. He said police staked out at the condo and observed Pirapol standing outside the building at about 5pm on Monday. Police searched him but did not find any drugs, he said, adding that police then searched his apartment and found the drugs. The suspect admitted he smuggled the drugs from Myanmar.
