Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha

Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha on Tuesday said he knew the whereabouts of fugitive former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra but declined to reveal her location.

“I know [where she is] but cannot say anything for now. I will tell you after [Friday],” he told reporters after a weekly Cabinet meeting.

Yingluck apparently pulled off a dramatic escape a day or two before the Supreme Court’s Criminal Division for Political Office Holders was to deliver a verdict in a case involving her government’s controversial rice-pledging scheme on August 25.

The reading of the verdict was subsequently rescheduled for tomorrow.

If found guilty, Yingluck could face up to 10 years in jail and a lifetime ban from politics.

Will there be a horde of tough, savvy, no-nonsense journalists prepared to push the question on Saturday?  Or will they be mollified by a banana skin being thrown at them or a little affectionate tickling of the ears? Or will it be children's day when they dress in kindergarten uniforms and look cute? Time will tell.

I guess he must have asked the police, as Prawit suggested

Come on, PM - where is she?

Is she trapped in a cabinet? People dismissed my theory far too easily, but people get trapped in cabinets all the time. Doctors, dentists, lawyers.

I know where she is but don't tell anybody. She is in the Skull Cave being held captive by the Ghost Who Walks.

Yingluck is really Diana Palmer.

There is no disguising the total thorn in the side the Shins are to these numpties. They say get over it, they haven't and they won't. The Shins have some aces in potentially returning and running the country either directly or by proxy.

Trouble is the Army, their fire power and their immature and spiteful nature.
