Ten year old boy "hero" slashed by father as he tries to save his mum

A ten year old boy tried to stop his enraged father from slashing his mother's throat yesterday and was seriously injured as a result.

 

The father - after further drink and drug fueled violence - fled the scene in the "song thaew" he drives for a living.

 

His parting words were that he was going to find his other son, aged 11, to poison him and take his own life too.

 

Muang Samut Prakarn police arrived at the scene of the fight outside a house in Soi Bo Din, Samut Prakarn where they found 27 year old Suwattana disheveled, battered and bruised.

 

Her ten year old son "Kao" was covered in blood from a serious wound to his right arm.

 

While medics gave the boy first aid and got him to hospital police phoned ahead to Bang Poo police to his elder brother's school. After the death threat against his P5 sibling they wanted to make sure he was safe.

 

House owner Supornda, 53, said that the mother and son had been helping her tidy up outside her house. The mother had earlier left home with her youngest son to stay with her sister.

 

Just then Suwattana's 39 year old husband arrived in the song thaew that he uses for passengers on the Route 36 Pak Nam to Tamru.

 

He tried to get back together with his wife and she refused him. He flew into a mad rage and started punching and kicking her violently, reported Sanook.

 

Then he ran into the house and grabbed a knife and went for her throat. Only the heroic actions of her ten year old son in throwing himself in the way saved her, said Supornda.

 

She managed to wrest the knife from the crazed father before he went to his vehicle and got some scissors to try to continue the attack. These she also managed to get out of his hands.

 

He then fled the scene in his vehicle saying that he would kill their son and himself with poison.

 

Police radioed ahead but could not make an arrest as yet.

 

The hunt for the father and husband attacker is now on.

Sadly, I suspect the punishment meted out in due course will be painfully less than warranted.

Not really surprising all these Thai women go off with Farangs later. A bald head, 50 kg too heavy and 40 years their senior foreigner seems a fair trade to marrying these Thai bums !

So twice his wife managed to disarm him.  He slashed his little boy and threatened the life of his other little boy.
