Case of the Suspect Hotel Bomb Alert

On 28th January at 5.20 am, the Dongtan police got a call from I-Yaree Hotel staff, located in Jomtien that a suspicious box was on the counter and no one knows where it came from. They were afraid that it might be a bomb so called the police.

The shocked staff were relieved when found that the box revealed two elephant tusks. Later at 4 pm on the same day, the hotel staff informed the police that a foreign customer who checked out, came back to ask for the box.

The guest forgot the gift box that was meant to be taken home as a souvenir.

The police gave the box back to the tourist and everyone left happily.

when you think about it, its a wonder Pattaya hasnt already been hit. Id imagine from a terrorists point of view it would be the perfect target. A 'legendary' area of western style unholy debauchery! poisioning the locals and diverting them from the true path etc etc etc, a large outrage in Walking street would give them worldwide publicity. Its probably a good job some of these 'terrorists' cant see the 'obvious'

Although unfortunately they sometimes can as with the Egyptian outrage a while back.

What have we done to deserve the nightmare of Religion

Stop posting items like this, we don't want to remind them! Inshallah! Don't forget these terrorists use these internet and forums for communicating with one another. It's a possibility yes, but don't bring up subjects that went dead in January. If anything ever did happen it would be the death of Pattaya.

There was a lot of talk amongst local Thais yesterday about a bomb that had been found in or near one of the cinemas in Pattaya yesterday?

They were warning to stay away from Big C and Royal Garden?

Anyone heard anytthing about this?

It was in the paper this weekend, it was actually a car that had been converted to LPG, something started smoking so the driver bailed out and it subsequently blew up, they cleared the car park for safety.

yes, LPG vehicles if not tuned up can really cause some damage when they backfire. !

i had a range rover 4.6 LPG conversion it fired , blew the air filter box apart, something also straight thru the headlight outwards and the noise was very much like a bomb blast
