Sorry if this has been covered, I can find no way to search  this sub forum

I'm US  and am wondering if I can visit  Cambodia  from Thai  land border   with  an " entry  permission on arrival"  sort of  thing.

If so- are there limits  to amount of  entries ?

Thanks in advance.

You can get a Visa on Arrival when you enter Cambodia by land from most official land border crossings. The official cost is $35 USD, but the immigration officers will often want you to pay in Thai Baht which gives a poor exchange rate. Lots of stories on this around the web.

You are allowed to exit Thailand and enter Cambodia this way as many times as you want. You will need to purchase a new visa each time. However, the other way, from Cambodia to Thailand, you are limited to twice in any 12 month period. Thus, you would need to fly back into Thailand after your second trip overland.
