Meeting venues in Bangkok?

Recommended Posts

Posted

I will be in Bangkok for a couple days for business meeting with my clients. Right now, I have no idea of where is a good place that is available to rent for a meeting with decent price since I am currently living in Chiang Mai.

Could anyone suggest some good space for a meeting?

Much obliged :)

No specific recommendations. But I have seen meeting/conference rooms mentioned at a couple of the hotels when I have been looking for Bkk hotels.   I would pick a area that will work well for you and your clients then google map the area for hotels.  Get the emails for a number of hotels and fire off some emails. Also maybe add a area to here. No use someone suggesting a place on the wrong side of town.

All of the larger hotels will have good facilities - so depends on budget.  For central Bangkok/Sukhumvit -  I've used Sheraton at Asoke (great location, easy access by BTS, but not by car due to traffic jams, bit expensive), Renaissance at Chidlom, (slightly less than Sheraton, good access), and Bliston Hotel near Chidlom in Soi Ton Son - decent access, lower cost, nice new meeting rooms.

Sheraton Four Points in Soi 15 has smaller meeting rooms at lower cost.  There's also the Centara opposite Platinum Mall that has decent rates.

For large conference rooms at low cost - try the Ambassador Hotel in Sukhumvit Soi 11/Nana BTS - but don't stay there - better to book another hotel for your room.

Agreed. The better hotels have meeting rooms for any size group that you have and will cater refreshments and beverages for you. I attended a meeting at the Centara Hotel at Central World not long ago for a group of about 12, and they had very nice facilities there. Any of the better hotels will have similar facilities. For smaller meetings you could also rent a suite and have them bring in a conference table.

There are two TRUE coffee shops in Siam Square that have upstairs meeting rooms that are rented by the hour. They appeared to seat about up to 20 persons each and are actually quite quiet.  They are opposite Siam Paragon, one on street level going in the direction of traffic, one at the end of one of the side-sois.  You can probably find them on Google Maps.

If you Google "Co-Working spaces, Bangkok" you will find that many have conference rooms available.

Makes sense, given the paucity of info. Just get on the net & check.

Hello Barenz,

Do you know what location the meeting will take part in?

Personally I have been using www.venuee.co for my last meetings, as I am not a big fan of big hotels and the meeting environment there. Do you have any specific requirements or do you know already how many people will be attending? :)

I can personally recommend Maven Mesh which is a really nice co-working space for a few people and I have also booked some more unusual and unique venues depending on who will attend the meetings.

I think they cover every area in Bangkok unless you are having your meeting really far out of the center.

One of my friends recommend me that coffee shop as well, and it might be my possible option. Not sure that if I can use my True black card of any promotion or discount lol. But thanks anyway

Thanks for recommendation! By the way, my meeting is quite small since I have like 6-8 people attend the meeting, but I will still check those hotels out if there a small room available at good price.

My friend used to stay at Ambassador hotel once and he wasn't quite enjoy the experience there as well lol.

Booking a hotel room seems to be nice too

I have 2 meetings, one in downtown (Siam area) and other one in Ladprao. I've check out the website and the spaces that they offer seem to be nice as well!

For both meeting, I have roughly 6-8 people attend the meeting but no food catering needed (just only drinks is fine). The meeting will be last only a few hours.

btw, i've found Maven Mesh on the venuee.co site as well and it quite near my preferable place of meeting. Can I book the place on the website right away?

If you are looking for a less formal place you could try the Sportsman bar and restaurant on sukhumvit soi 13 just behind the ambassador hotel. We have a meeting room that can be used for free. No daytime disturbance as the upstairs area doesn't open till 4.00pm to the general public. It's free to use and we do food and drinks deals to suit all budgets and have mics and projectors available for use from 9am till 1am on a daily basis.

On the website they say that you will receive a response within 24 hours from the hosts or venue owners. I remember I got a response within a few hours because I sent an enquiry already from the morning.

Maven Mesh is around Ladprao area so that would be an optional choice for you :) Although transportation link does not reach to Maven Mesh directly, so I think it is better to take a Grab because it may be a bit difficult to find on your own.

Btw I just checked they have loads of venues in Siam on the website :)

(I have no idea, btw)

Soi Cowboy or Nana Plaza sounds like a good place to conduct business meetings

Plenty of conference rooms large and small, pretty much unoccupied during daytime hours. The rotating carousels are very useful for presentations.
