A Laotian hoodlum with the nickname "Mafia Siam" was arrested Sunday after stealing an expensive jacket from a high end store in Siam Square.

Weeraphan "Tao" Inthawong, 40, had run off with a 13,500 baht Boy London jacket from the store belonging to Thaweesit Kanchanawongphaisan, 34, last Wednesday.

Weeraphan was arrested in Din Daeng and admitted that he had no passport and had come to Thailand to commit crime.

He had been jailed in Thailand in 2015 after an attack on a woman at the Hualampong MRT station.

He did 14 months for that crime and was released in June of this year then deported.

Now he had come back to continue his crimes, reported Daily News.
