Malls replace shopping with service

OPERATORS of major malls in Bangkok and other main cities are providing free car parking and transport services today for mourners wishing to offer flowers in memory of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

    (Reuters) - Fats Domino, who brought rolling New Orleans boogie-woogie piano to early rock 'n' roll in chart-topping hits such as "Blueberry Hill" and "Ain't That a Shame," has died at the age of 89, officials said on Wednesday.

    Hundreds of people seek first aid

    THE PUBLIC Health Ministry dispatched medical teams to cover areas in 20-metre radiuses to take care of mourners attending the Royal Cremation ceremonies at Bangkok’s Sanam Luang area and warned people, especially the elderly and small children, about flu, diarrhoea and fainting amid the hot weather alternating with rain, according to Public Health Minister Dr Piyasakol Sakolsatayadorn.

    Social media records historic event

    THAILAND’S social-media users have begun recording events around the Royal Crematorium with photographs and Facebook Live videos, because they want to share the atmosphere of the place where an historic ceremony will be held today.

    Foreign guests arrive for Royal Cremation
