howdy all,

me and the mrs have just returned from our month long stay in samui,we managed to finish our house and are now the proud owners of a thai chanote....having been out either dining or partying every other night i am pleased to say we didnt witness any fighting,shooting,raping or drug dealings that have scarred our island in the past,all the new buildings that i have seen are all very well done and do blend in,even though im not impressed with the huge q on the hillside of the q bar,{reminds me of ibiza,please dont let this happen guys}..the old hotels and bungalows,that were run down ,have been replaced with much better hotels.i.e the library on chaweng beach,well cool....ive also noticed that rasta baby in bophut{i loved that simple place},has finally been demolished,land sold for a packet no doubt,thai owner happy...hotel to be built soon.

i do genuinely think that with the right control,the island will be perfect without too much of its original beauty lost,if we all behave,there will be no future problems....throw out the drug scum and gangsters and all will be cool....we will move to samui in 2008 fulltime i reckon,and cant wait.i am amazed atg the growth since last there at songkran,all good,but dont over do it eh?

sawadee pi mai to all thaivisa forumers,all the best....

p.s,i love my food,thai and international,try red snapper restaurant at the top end of chaweng beach rd,cool as,with awesome food......also buy dj freedom cds from the ark bar...{tip..buy em from cd shop next door to the islander,much cheaper than the ark bar}
