What is the cost of fixing car remote key

Featured Replies

My pickup is 3 yrs old. Now when I turn the car off theres a default message stating that the key remote battery needs charging. When Im out of the car and press the lock button it still locks the car and works ok.

What does this cost to fix. Should I get it done at the dealership or at one of those shops in Robinsons

thanks

My six year old Honda City key broke a few months ago and I had it replaced at a small shop outside the Big C Extra, San Dek, in Chiang Mai.

Cost: 1000 baht.

Still working well. Starts the car and locks and unlocks the doors.

is it possible to recharge the battery as suggested  or just renew battery

As far as I know you should be able to just open the section on it where the battery will be located & just replace it

A little watch stall should have them or many other places

There is a C2032 battery in the key.

open the key and replace battery,

battery cost 30 to 100B depending quality/brand name.

Yep, look at the edge of the key fob, usually a small slot to put a screw driver in to twist the plastic so it opens...Pull out the battery and put in a new one..
