Professional Dog Training

Featured Replies

Does anyone know or can recommend a professional dog trainer here in Chiang Mai province?

highly recommend, excellent english, her father trains the police and palace dogs in bangkok and she's very knowledgable.

she's in hang dong, but came out to me in mae rim.

Highly recommend Nienke at Lucky Dogs. I board my dog there when I go away.

What's the dog's problem?

I visited her training center, well kept, and good sized kennels.
In my opinion she has the right attitude to train a dog into a responsible guardian of the house and a pleasurable companion.
(in the end, I decided not to get the dog because of a heavier than expected travel schedule.
Keeping an Alsatian is not for the faint hearted, and I did not want to risk an authority struggle when I am away for a few weeks.)

I love dogs that are well trained and well cared for.  Haven't seen any such animals in LOS.

In the old country I took my dogs at age six months to a place where they train YOU to train your dog.

Better the dog relates to you than to a trainer.

Not saying LuckyDogs isn't great.  It is getting good reviews.

This IS the approach Nienke at Lucky Dogs uses.  You train together and the owner gets as much attention, if not more, than the dog.  Of course the owner must then follow up and devote a large amount of time to training the dog on his own.

And that's a lot of fun for the owner and the dog.  Make sure another family member doesn't undo the training.

It's my intention to be an integral part of the training.  If not, I have no interest.

I'll give her and Lucky Dogs a ring then see who's the best fit.  Thanks much.
