January 9, 200818 yr 1. I assume you are watching a video on the main youtube site. If you aren't, then that is the first thing you need to fix. If you are watching a youtube video that is embedded on a page somewhere else, you should left-click on the video image. That should launch a new window where the video IS displaying on the youtube site. If so, go to 3. 2. Ok, that did not work. Type www.youtube.com in your browser's address field, and press the Enter button on your computer's keyboard. b. You are now on the main page of Youtube.com. There is a white field near the top of the page, with the text 'Search' next to it. Search for the video you were watching on the previous site by typing in some key words and pressing the 'Search' button to the left of the search field. A list of results will show. Look in the list for the video you were just watching. Click on it. c. Your video should now be loading or playing in the Youtube window. Go to 3. 3. In the address field of your web browser (that is the white space on top of Internet Explorer or Firefox where the address to the website you are using shows), there is an address that looks similar to this: Copy this. This is done by a.) Move the mouse up to the address field, to the right of the text in the field. Press the right mouse button and hold it, then move the mouse to the left. The address should now be gradually highlighted as you move the mouse. b.) When the entire text in the address window is highlighted, stop moving the mouse, and right click. A menu drops down. c.) In the menu that drops down, choose Copy. 4. If you already have Thaivisa open, switch to that window/tab. If not, open a new browser window/tab with Thaivisa in it. Click Reply button, choose Quick Reply. In the posting field, right click on the mouse. A menu drops down. Choose Paste in this menu. The address you copied from the Youtube window should now show in the Reply field, like this: 5. You now need to edit the address. Only the part after the = should remain. Move the mouse up onto the address text, so that the cursor is to the left of the = sign in the address. Left click. The cursor should now be blinking right after the = sign. If not, use the arrow buttons on your keyboard to change the cursor's position. 6. Press the Backspace button on your keyboard until everything to the left of the cursor has been erased. 7. Using our address example above, only the part TRbp0ZIehk0 should remain in the Reply window. OK? If not, you need to paste in the address and try again so that you only have that part remaining. 8. Move the mouse cursor up to the left of the text in the Reply window. Left click. Type the text [youtube ] (but with no space inside the brackets). 9. You should now have the text [youtube ]TRbp0ZIehk0 in your Reply window (but with no space inside the brackets). If not, check previous steps to see where things went wrong. 10. Move the mouse to the far right of the text in the Reply window. Left click. Type the text [/ youtube] (but WITHOUT the space after / ). These spaces are just so I can show you, if I did not put it there, the forum software will change the text into code that does not show when the reply is posted. Now, the text in your Reply window should look like this: [youtube ]TRbp0ZIehk0[/ youtube] (except for the spaces). 11. Add any comments you want to make, after or before the text. (Optional). 12. Press the Add Reply button under the Reply Window. Done! Let us know if there is a word or something else in the instructions you do not understand. If it still does not work, tell us exactly where in the instructions things go wrong - and describe exactly what you do.
January 9, 200818 yr There's a bit in point 4 that I don't understand: 4. Change windows to Thaivisa. Click Reply button, choose Quick Reply. In the posting field, right click on the mouse. The address you copied from the Youtube window should now show in the Reply field, like this: I tried to change windows, but there wasn't another window available. Then I thought you might mean "tab" 9cos windows is soooo 20th century. But then, you're computer literate, so I figured if you'd meant "tab", you would have said "tab". So then I looked at my window, to my right. It needs cleaning perhaps, but I don't think it needs changing. So then I inspected every window in the house. I awoke one of my housemates when I checked his windows. Nope! All our windows are good, though none of them say "Thaivisa" on them. AND THEN I GOT IT!!! I'm supposed to change my operating system.
