I have tried to get into the crypto game and I am an American living here in Bangkok with my wife. I tried to sign up at bx.in.th but was denied because they have a "No Americans' policy.

Are there any other Americans who trade and if so, how do you trade?  Thanks

You just need a Thai bank account and a Thai driver’s license ( both very easy to get ). But even better, open in your Thai wife’s name.

Thai wife or pay a bit more a localbitcoins or localethereum to buy / sell crypto.

The only option I can think of is buying bitcoins on localbitcoins or coins.co.th (a little more expensive for the latter), and have the coins sent to any platform that accepts U.S. citizens to trade there. I think Binance and Bittrex, among the main ones are quite fast to register to and don't demand going through thorough KYC applications for accounts that move less than 2 BTC in and out of their platform.
